What are the effects of Simple Green on aluminum (besides cleaning it)? I seem to remember reading somewheere that GI's were using it on their M-16s and it messed up the anodizing or corroded the aluminum. Of course I could have breathed in too much chlorinated brake and carb cleaner and halucinated the whoe idea.

Great thread! I can relate first-hand to what you're saying. My fist "love" (lust?) was a Bolivian girl. YOW! We broke up after about 5 yrs (yes, she kicked my ass for that), then met up again 20 years later. She was still gorgeous and, boy, it didn't take long for the sparks to fly.
