  1. i was watching shooting usa the other day and Julie Golob was on there sighting in her pistol for various ranges and her results looked pretty much like what your describing here. she was happy with it. i dont know, maybe thats what m&p's do.

  2. I'd like to get the Kadet2 kit for my Shadow, but all retailers seem to be sold out and nobody knows when CZ will be sending them to North America again, so I've stumbled across the used Tanfoglio Force 22LR and I'm wondering if any of you guys know for sure if the TF22 slide or the Tanfoglio .22LR conversion kit will fit and function on the Shadow? Unfortunately the seller is quite a bit away so there's no way to test before buying.

    thanks!

    no i tried it already

  3. sorry guys i am from the South eastern part of the state, but i'm willing to travel

Welcome from a fellow SE Hoosier.

I shoot USPSA and 3-gun, and there is a growing group of us from the Greensburg, Shelbyville, Rushville area who are carpooling. I have a private range and I am looking at some springtime fun/practice matches for us local guys.

there are a couple of us in New Castle if you need anything

  4. Checking with my Shadow here, the only way I can get contact against the safety is if I bring my support hand up to the point where I am leaving a substantial amount of grip uncovered. One of the biggest problems I faced early with my TS was just that - bringing the support hand too high. The gun ends up recoiling into the space you created (though this is likely much reduced on a small-frame gun like a SP01, especially running Minor loads).

To revisit this... was just out testing new loads today in a bunch of different guns, and starting playing with different grip techniques on the Shadow. With a slightly different grip (it felt "off" to me), I can get the safety to engage during recoil. However, it seems to be completely prevented by ensuring that the strong thumb remains seated on the safety instead of hovering above it.

I use a thin aluminum grip on the right side and the factory rubber on the left side. It helps my support hand fill the gap and moves the support hand away from the extended safety. Another side effect ive noticed is it helps me keep my thumb off the gun. Maybe its just in my head

  5. did some practice draws for 4 days with trying for my extention to stop with my elbows bent as if they were at my sides and it feels great, this weekend i'll try some drills to see how the sights track. i wanted someone to put into words what my body was trying to do and it was perfect so far, thanks

  6. put a brand new safety with a shelf on my SP-01 checked it and everything was good. Went to a steel shoot got ready, drew the gun and stopped locked up for about 3 seconds. Then it dawned on me that i had not even practiced the draw once with the new safety. problem remedied and probably wont happen again :surprise:
