Quick side note -- I never understood what people were talking about with the "primer ski jump" on the 650. Now I get it. I had a few primers that didn't get decapped (took me a few tries to get my pin adjusted correctly). That design is just pure silliness! Kicking out live primers just because there was nowhere for them to go? Why can't they go around the circle again? The Hornady primer shuttle has no problem sliding back under the tube if there's no shell in station 2... I'm off to research some of the fix/kludge options I've seen referenced in other threads.... can't deal with that.
I really like this upgrade

I also purchased the spent primer upgrade, I kinked my hose, contacted seller for dimensions so I could grab another hose and instead he just mailed me out some new hose. Great customer service for something that was my bad.

I use Ballistol, Spray the inside of a container, bottom and sides, then dump brass into container, shake them around then dump in the hopper.
After I load I will either just wipe them off with a rag or if I am feeling ambitious I will throw them back in the tumbler for a few minutes.

Was this a custom order? Any blue bullets I've ordered were sized to .401-.402 . I have to resize to get them to .400. BBI are the only Coated bullets I've found to be .400 without resizing.
Not a custom order, its my 3rd order from them so i am around the 3k mark. Every one i have randomly grabbed and measured has been .400 +- .0005

165gr Bluebullets are sized at .400
I use 3.5gr of red dot for 140pf out of a tanfoglio stock 2 at oal 1.140. 3.3gr gave a 132pf but my dueling tree thought it was a little anemic.
perceived recoil is very soft.

According to Alliants load data on their website 7.5gr of BE-86 at 1.12 COL with a 165gr FMC bullet gets you 1167fps out of a 4 inch barrel. I'd start off 10% lower then that and work my way up since your using a coated lead bullet instead of FMC bullet.
Thanks for the suggestion, however wouldn't I want to go lower than 10% considering it is recommended to start FMC bullets down 10% from the listed max? How much lower do you start lead or coated lead vs plated or FMJ?

I recently moved to 165gr Blue Bullets and looking at my powders I have 10lbs of be-86 that just wants to get used.
does anybody have any load data either major or minor pf for the above combination?
thanks
DN.
