I thought getting under 5 lbs was relatively easy. However I did make my own handguard to get there.... Getting much lower than that weight range is probably a challenge since recoil systems for pcc are all heavy. Then again the recoil system weight is all toward the back and I wouldn't think it would be all that bad.

This one's mine. It weighs 4 lbs 15 oz without the overly heavy red dot on it.
Taccom Barrel
Handguard (Homemade)
Anderson Sport Upper
QC10 lower
Spinta Bolt (with slug removed)
Taccom Recoil system
Looking at your list you should be about half a pound lighter than my build.

Y'all should check out the Facebook group diy 3 gun gear. There's a decent amount of 3d printing stuff on there and some pretty knowledgeable people in regards to 3d printing.

I use the monoprice mini select for a printer. It's cheap but does a decent job. I mostly use solidworks for modeling software but also use catia and unigraphics.

Has anyone checked the weight difference between G10 vs 3d print plastic? If there is a big difference it can help for Single Stack Div. weight requirement.

I don't know about density off the top of my head but you can play with the infill and make it quite a bit less dense.

I would think 3d printed grips would be perfectly fine especially if you finish it with something like xtc-3d.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. I might give it a try myself. I'd probably go with something like this for material.

We dunderhead types are kicking around a thread on Arfcom's "Pistol Caliber" forum about a roller-lock gun.
Basically a propose-built upper with non-recip left hand charging, a "right-sized" 9mm ejection port and brass deflector, and recesses for the rollers of an MP5 bolt head. Every thing else would be pure AR pattern, slaps on to AR lowers, uses AR barrels, AR-type 1913 rail.
The other proprietary part would be, naturally, the bolt itself. In addition to the addition of the MP5 roller assembly, the bolt could be substantially lighter (which is the whole point of this... less reciprocating mass), and wouldn't need to be ramped, which would allow for the use of pretty much anyone's AR trigger.
Using the MP5 guts should keep costs halfway reasonable, and tons of "tuning" options for roller sizes are out there.
Basically this would be a "best of all worlds". No gas system to worry about (not much gas in a 9mm), smooth shooting like an MP5 or MPX, form factor and configuration options of the AR.
Anyone know how to CAD stuff? [emoji185]
Can you link to the thread? I'm an aerospace engineer that can do cad stuff. I'm curious what y'all are coming up with.

I went ahead and ordered the cz +2 base pads. I figure for $5 I'm not going to go too wrong.

I wonder if these would work.

Has anyone installed the mecgar +2 basepads(the ones that come on a mecgar 19 Rd magazine) on an sp-01 magazine? I'm curious if they'll clear a czc magwell and function properly.

I've been using cajun gun works parts exclusively and could not be happier. I find that they have better prices and are more suitable for the person that likes to modify their own pistol. I just wish they'd hurry up with their magwell.

Hey there's a Facebook group that is for diy 3 gun gear you should check out.

Never used a 16 rd mag in mine but the 17's work really well.

Do you have any pictures of the +4 basepad on an 18 round mag inserted into an SP-01 without a magwell? The reason I ask is because the tube for an 18 rd factory magazine is longer than the mecgar's and the 16 round magazines. I'm just curious how much gap there will be between the magazine and the pistol.

Do you have a budget in mind? I bought the best gun I could afford at the moment and that was the stock sp-01 shadow. I now upgrade it as I have money with cajun gun works parts. The 10x bushing is next on my list.

When are the +4s going to be available? I've got some money burning a hole in my pockets.
The post on facebook said he was working on them...
-
Can anyone that bought them take a picture of them on their sp-01? I'm curious if there's any gap when using an sp-01 mag.
-
I just saw them post on facebook about doing +4 basepads as well. I kind of doubt the factory springs would work with these. I'm curious what the capacity would be for +4 with cz custom springs and followers installed. They stated the +4 basepads installed on a mecgar mag would clear a cz custom magwell.

Saw a post about these on Facebook and thought they looked pretty cool.

I put a limbsaver and a +7 nordic components tube on mine. I have a welded lifter on the way back from C-rums that I'll be adding soon and I'll probably open the loading port. The 1301 is just a joy to shoot.

This is what I used as a reference as well as youtube videos.

I tested mine with both the 8.5 and 11.5 and only got a 1 lb improvement on the da pull and none on the sa. I could barely tell the difference dry firing it so I just went with the 11.5 and it's ignited everything.I have everything under the sun, and I can't light sh1t off with the 8.5# spring.

Sure can. This is a protoype I created for what I'm hoping will be a business for me. The barrel nut I got from someone on ar15.com, it's aluminum and very similar to an NSR nut in how it attaches. The handguard and mandrel were designed using Catia and Fibersim. I then cut the mandrel from aluminum bar stock, sanded and polished until it was a mirror, laid my composite over it, vacuum bagged and cured it in an oven. After that I trimmed it and drilled the mounting holes. The handguard itself weighs 2.5 oz and is 15 inches long.
