  1. My biggest gripe with the CORE are the sites...I flat out hate them. If you aren't running a red dot then they are useless. And even if you are running a red dot on the 5 inch model the sites just get in the way. If my red dot fails in the middle of a course of fire, I'm not going switch to my irons all of the sudden. Now if this was a carry gun then yes I want back up irons...but other than that they aren't the best.

  2. One of the scenarios was seated at a desk, and my ability to hit the target was awful. Another scenario, RO said awesome well placed hits, ON THE KID YOU WERE NOT SUPPOSED TO SHOOT :)

We call those collaborator targets...why the hell did they not hit the deck when the shots started flying...my answer, they were in on hold up/kidnapping, etc...

  3. Having a conversion barrel is the answer you are looking for. One gun with two calibers.

This x10...I'm running an M&P CORE 40L with a 9MM conversion barrel. That way I can shoot major in USPSA and 9mm for all others. Plus I have a soft spot in my heart for .40 (don't know why...)

  4. I'm sponsored by a target company called Shooters Element. They have the cheapest rifle targets I've seen. The kit I use for a plate rack is about 13 IIRC per plate and I hang them from a bar. They have complete sets though that are also really cheap. I've been beating the crap out of mine for a while and they don't show any sign of wear.

    Dustin,

Thanks for the rep man, I appreciate it!

Thanks for the link. Prices look decent, any chance they'll be expanding their selection?

Tony, let me know if there's something you are looking for or just targets in general. I'm the owner/operator of Shooters Element and an avid competitor. Not on the level of guys like Dustin but I can hold my own in my class AHAHAHAH.

Saw a couple folks made it to my site from this thread and wanted to come say hi.

Just let you know we have Black Friday sale going on if anyone is interested.

    Here's some of the details

    Sent you a PM

If you were sending it to me, I never got it :( try again or send me an email to sales@shooterselement.com

  6. Nice video...those stages look fun to shoot. I'm new to IDPA and shoot CDP with my S&W 1911. How long you been shooting? What do you use for an action camera?

I have no feedback because I'm too new to the sport. But I do hope to be in a spot in the next year where I can offer helpful advice.

They were some fun stages to shoot...it's getting hotter out now so I haven't shot a match in a month or so...plus I ran dry on .45 ACP lol (need to fire up the press).

I've been shooting IDPA on and off since I was 15 so about 12 years now. I'm no expert (but I do play one on the internet and TV), but I enjoy shooting and trying new gear. I'm running a Contour +2 since it can run 60 FPS at 720P. I've moved it to on top of my head for a better perspective.

Best thing you can do is go shoot and have fun. Don't worry about all the rules, you will learn them as you go, but be open to input from the vets and don't take it personal (it never is).

Thanks for the comment, I'm glad you liked the video.
