  1. i agree with the trimming aspect..... it sucks ---- i tried to be cheap and get the lee zip trim for trimming brass, probably did about 1000 that way (308) before i bought a Giraud Tri way (the one that fits on your drill)  i had been drooling over his desk top model, and one day went to his site and there they were... best dam 100bux i have spent in all of my reloading tools.  hands down............keep in mind it measures the length off of the neck of your resized brass,  so its best to keep that consistent, and if you want to measure that you'll need something like the hornady comparator gauges.

so then i started loading 223.... and bought the little crow drill mounted one, figured it would be just as good........... its not bad..... but for a few bucks more Giraud is king !!!

I have trimmed about 1700 pieces of 223 on my LE Wilson trimmer in the last 2 weeks, it's super consistent but that powered Giraud looks mighty tempting. Will see how long I can put it off.

  2. I don't inspect for stepped brass, it's pretty easy for me to detect it as I am loading when I hit one of these. It's like hitting a wall when trying to resize.

  3. 55gr Hornady, H335, S&B SRP's have been 100% for me. Pistol too.

Is that in a semi-auto or bolt gun?

  4. Any issue with running TG with blue bullets? Always heard that TG runs hot compared to other powders. Shooting out of Glock 26 with stock barrel.

No issues running Titegroup with Bluebullets, I load it all the time with no issues. Any of the above mentioned loads look good, just chrono your ammo to optimize the load.

Thanks so much. Running low on imr sr 7625 so it's time to start looking for something to replace it with.

  5. I want to thank everyone for their responses. The Forster Co-ax was an eye opener for me. Saw a few videos on it and reviews and it seems to be a winner. Aside from a few negatives about the primer capping system in some opinions. The cost and weight would be a concern for me. I would have to have a small bench because I don't have much room in my garage.

I think the best thing for me would be a starter kit. I've narrowed that down to LEE and RCBS single stage presses. I'll need look into them a bit more.

I have the Lee Classic Cast single stage in addition to my 550b. I think the Lee is one hell of a press for the money. It is build like a tank. The primer disposal through the ram is perfect. I must proceed about 8k rounds and not a single primer on the floor.

  6. I stocked up during their Black Friday Sale. I am definitely a convert, like these 125grain in my glock 19.

    230gr 45

    200gr 40

    147gr 9mm

Almost all of this is my Black Friday order. :-)

Very nice!!! Obviously you are a much higher quantity shooter than me.

I took advantage of that also. It does turn your fingers blue when reloading but they also don't have that burn electrical tape smell that I notice with other coated bullets either.

I use gloves when I load. I always get a kick out of the people working at the range when they ask me what the bullets are.
