I too have fit Houge grips on my Match and love them. Like Kneelingatlas said some material has to be removed from the inside of the grips first. I found putting the screw in one panel first then heating the middle (finger groved portion between the panel) with a candle and then pulling over the the other panel. I had another person start the screw on the second panel while I held it to the streched position. This was important because my friend who tried this cross threaded the grip screw trying to do this by himself. I also shortened it to accomodate my magwell. It looks and feels amazing and is deffinately worth the work.

I guess I'll tell the local T-shirt place it's my last name, and make my own.

Has anyone considered removing the weight from inside the grip. When I was fitting my mag well I had to clearence an area to accomidate the mag well bolt. I was aware of the weight issue and thought that would be a suitable place to lighten if I ever felt the need to make weight.

Physics says to run as heavy of a spring that will still cycle. Practicality says find the heaviest that works and then go down one in case you get a light load.

I had similar problem with my Match. It was finally resolved by removing FB and running a Henning XL. I too was running reloads with Rem primers. This beeing said I only use mine for fun, not carry so the absense of FB doesn't concern me. But you need to consider you use when making this mod.

After years of thinking my Sig was perfect and I was a shitty shooter, I've reached enlightenment. My sig isn't accurate, and I'm a shitty shooter. The first time I saw my buddy's Tanfoglio Limited, I offered to buy it off him. After a year of waiting for him to cut loose I gave up and purchased a Tanfoglio Match. I'm still not a good pistol shooter but at least I have a new gun to blame it on. And I'm a total gear head and feel the need to work on everything so I joined this support group.... I mean forum.
Red Dot solution for .22

walmart has a $20 red dot I put on my 10/22 takedown. 1000 rounds through it and a couple steel matches. Not a single problem. Just what a cheap sight should be.... cheap. I'm with you I don't want to spen $200 on a red dot for a $300 gun. My "real rifles" are a different story. Everything that goes on them I think of in terms of life or death and justify higher price equipment.
