  1. I'm thinking that my 226 Stainless with the .357 barrel would be good to go in SSP. I believe that the rules will allow me to use the GGI Fatrod that has become the standard on my P-series guns. I might even run CDP with my 1911 (also a Sig). I think I'll try to find a qualifier in the Fayetteville area. Thanks for the welcome guys. Oh, I forgot... GO BIG RED!

  2. I've had a few of the GGI kits and used the supplied 17# mainspring. Sweet In dbl or single. I never measured the pull reduction other than by feel and imeadiately noticed that they has zero stacking in DA. SA was great in every regard, though you still feel a little creep with the GGI kit in a SRT gun. Funny how such a simple part can change so much in a weapon.

  3. I've had three P-series guns that have all had GGI fatrods and spring kits. I might just have the RRCD package done to my new-2-me 226 Stainless come tax time. I might just have it refinished in superblack too. The GR I had with that finish never showed any signs of wear. I think it's much tougher than nitron

  4. Howdy, I'm the FNG. A little about me: Normal dude from South Dakota, raised in Peoria AZ, living wherever the Army sends me. I'm abrasively honest, politically incorrect, and conservative. I've spent my entire career as a Fire Supporter/FISTER/JFO and have five trips overseas between Iraq and Afghanistan. I love my country, Jesus, college football, my family, and my firearms. I've considered competing, but I'm not there yet. I carry everyday when not having my rights infringed "cuz da Army says so." I believe that "it's the indian not the arrow", but I like really nice arrows... I am a proud SIG Sauer fanboy and have a big soft spot for the 1911. I'm digging the set up here and know I'll find lots of good stuff for my playbook. Thank's y'all!
