  1. Hello,

I would like to buy some Tripp Research 40S&W/10mm 10 Round Magazine to use my 40S&W Trojan for single stack (classic here) minor but they are imported in Italy.

Next week I will attend the IDPA World Shoot in Talladega (Alabama). I will land in Miami and drive there by car. Can you recommend some gun shop in Florida or along the route that can have them?

    Thanks a lot  Giovanni

  2. It's possible to buy firearms part from US if the value is $100 or lesser.

I often buy from Brownell's when i need small parts. When the value is higher Brownell's apply an export license and in 3/4 months i can receive what i want.

Some seller send articles of a value of $100 or less but most don't altough they can. Most of them think that sending something to europe is different than sending to Alaska.

When i was in Afghanistan i ordered a bunch of spare parts using APO address and now i cannot buy a front sight from Italy. I believe this is funny.

The next solution is to find a lowcost flight to US. :-)

    Thank you boys

  3. Thank you

Just send email to speedshooter.com to ask if they have this "Para Ordnance 1911 Fiber Optic Inserted Front Sight .185 Tall x .100 Wide, Match with DP or Factory Adjustable Rear 021-002"

I'm looking forward to receive an answer. It's frustating to need something from US. Only Brownell's send something but not over $100 and they don't stock everything.

    Thank you again

  4. Hello

I'd like to put a dawson precision front sight on my Para-Ord P18-9. I cannot find a web shop that ship to Italy. I'm not trying to buy an howitzer just a replacemente front sight.

Can you advise me a seller who ship to Italy?

    Thank you

    Giovanni

  5. I have seen that only wolff gunspring makes a recoil assembly for mini-glock and they have a RP 14lbs assembly, i e-mailed them to know if they make (or can advice)a lower value spring but got no reply.

Meanwhile i'm waiting for a reduced power striker spring, now to buy firearms parts from US is quite difficult.

G25 and G28 are rare in Italy too, as already told you i bought it just to train for free with something similar the G17 and G22 already use, pheraps the G25 could be a better idea but i already own a mid-size G32 and like the idea to have mini-glock.

Thank you again for your help.

  6. Thanks for the fast answer.

I'm using that ammo because i can have them for free, i'm a shooting instructor for my national police corp, we have a mix of Beretta 92 and large number of Beretta 84. Duty ammo for 380 acp is 72grs FMJ TC that is a special run for our corp. At the end of shooting session i like to use extra ammo in my G28 because i use a G17 for IPSC production and the have similar ergonomic. Most of time we shoot indoor so most of ammunition available i the short range.

I'm going to buy a light striker spring to try.

    Thank you again

  7. Hello

I own a G28 in 380acp that works 100% with full power ammo. My corp use for indoor training a reduced hazard ammunition with 47grs frangible bullet, they work 100% with Beretta 84F but theyr recoil is not enough to run the Glock 28. I bought a spare spring assembly and started cutting half piece each time the bigger/shorter external spring. The pistol reliability improved a little but, cutting more and more, i arrived at a point the spring tension wasn't enough to keep the slide close. Do you have any ideas to make the pistol reliable with my training ammo?

    Sorry for my english

  8. I don't know if this can help you

I had a Tanfoglio with the same problem, i tried everything (springs, extractor etc etc.) the problem where brass.

The pistol jammed only during match. I usually use brass reloaded until they last for training and once fired brass for match.

My range was selling MFS ammo so i had the opportunity to pick a lot of once fired 9x21 MFS brass and i thinked was a smart move to use them only for match (to have better reliability).

To be short, sorting brass i noticed that the FTE where ONLY with MFS brass.

Pheraphs you can try using different brass.

    I hope this helps.

  9. Hi

for my 7400 carbine i use this:

    150 grain bullets Vith-140 53 grs about 2800 fps

    180 grain bullets Vith-150 50.5 grs about 2550 fps

I have no malfunctions. I use Vith powders because here in Italy they are cheap and easy to find.

A friend of mine last week killed a boar (about 200lbs) with a scirocco 165 from a 30/06 Browing BAR. Front shot, dead in his track.

    Giovanni
