I did some checking. I have some NEW never loaded factory Federal Match grade brass. Calipered the primer pockets on a bunch and they ALL war .1735" in diameter.
I measured the Win. WSR Primers. They measured .1740" Checked some CCI 400 and 450 primers. they measured .1745". Measured SOME of my older once fired brass that I used the Suer Swager on and the measured from .1745 to .1760"
BINGO!!!!
Check the auto swagger in the 1050and it is swaging at .1735" well within specs. I am gonna get some WOLF Small rifle primers for standard loads and see what they measure out to be. I think I found my problem.

I was in a competitor's shop (I am an FFL) and over heard the sales boob tell a customer who was inquiring about NFA and suppressor ownership....
"Oh, well the $200.00 tax is an annual tax and that acts as a free pass for the Feds to enter your house without a search warrant and ceize ANYTHING they want. I wont do that. I just make my own suppressors."
I politely tapped the customer on the shoulder, said Excuse me but this guy is a Felony Conviction WAITING to happen. Don't walk RUN to my store. and handed him my card.

I am suspecting the NEW Winchester WSR primers. I have been reading that they are softer and thus leads me to think more easily deformed on insertion. I have some Wolf primers on the way to test. Maybe a conjunction of the aggressive swaging and soft primer cups.

I can see how the aggressive super swager could be an issue, but the swagger on the 1050 is set by the factory. I have not touched it. And I am wondering how it could be "Over Aggressive."

Mic the swager rod end.
#2 make sure you are not applying to much swage pressure and over expanding the pocket.
LC brass has a great pocket and lasts, all I use is WSR and never had one out of spec.
I would think its Press related.
I will put some calipers to the super swager. As mentioned above I don't think it is press related.

At first I thought that My dirty primer pockets were causing the swager to be opening up the pocket too much by a factor of the dirt and residue left in the pocket.
I am decaping and the SS wet media tumbling so my primer pockets are like factory clean. Still happening

Either the swage is opening up the hole too much, the primers are too small, or the brass is sub-standard... Has to be one of those three..
What primers are you using ?

These are 5.56 Lake City Brass Crimped military brass. First reload with Winchester Small Rifle primers. Standard and even close to subsonic loads so not throwing the heat here.
These are not Blowing the primers out, they are falling out as a result of recoil from the round being fired while they are still in the magazine or chambering. Other in the freakin ziplock baggie

I have been a Dillon user for over 25 years. Started with a 550 and then 3 650's and now I have a 1050.
Before the 1050 on the 650's and the 550, I used the Super Swager for my Mil brass. Lately I have been having primers fall out of my rounds both in the ziplock bass and in the magazines. Have a primer fall out as I was shooting, Powder all over the inside of the chamber. I was PISSED.
I am confident that this is NOT a 1050 auto swager issue as it happened with the Super Swager too.
Any help on fixing this problem would be great.

I just installed my parts from McMaster Carr. OH MY GOD what a difference. This is a great mod.
I always wonder if these companies like Mcmaster and Fastenal who have these obscure items, when they have a small rush on the items because of a tip on an online forum, if they ever wonder just what the hell is going on....?
Anyway IT WORKS and works great, no more powder dancing!!!
Oh BTW When I installed mine I used a fair amount of STOS on the bearings. Great stuff.

I fought with my brass and how to clean the primer pockets. Primarily with the military 5.56 brass. Swaging dirty primer pockets just seamed stupid. So I decide to use SS media and it is amazing. a PITA but well worth the effort. I rinse about a dozen times and then cook the brass in a cookie sheet at 170* f for about an hour or so to evaporate all of the moisture. I showed a buddy of mine who has been reloading for YEARS the results and he thought I was lying to him and said I purchased new brass.

Just ordered my bearings and washers for 3 650's. I can wait. been spilling .40 load powder for a LONG time. I am also hoping this addresses my Mr. Bulet Feeder bullet typing issues. on my 45 rig I am tipping about one out of every 25 or 30 bullets. I just got that machine set up so I haven't tweeked it fully yet. The Feeder on the 40 rig ROCKS!
Now if I can just get the Mr. Bullet Feeder and the primer issues with my new 1050 worked out, I will be a loading fool.
BTW This is my first day on this forum and second post. I am an FFL in a one man shop in KY and I load 12 and 20 ga on a pair of PW 900's, metalic on a single 550, 3 650's and a brand new bouncing baby 1050 for the 223 devouring toys.
As soon as I get my reloading room neatened up I will post pics. it looks like Moore, OK, right now.

It comes down to being this simple:
If its a part that should have shipped with the press then they owe the owner a part for free.
If its a part that is the result of an upgrade after the press shipped then nothing is owed.
What is or isnt in the manual is irrelevant. Also, anyone who says the customer is always right most likely has little or no experience dealing directly with customers. Customers always think they are right and more times than not they are dead freaking wrong. Maybe it is a $4 part. I guarantee it cost > 10 times that to process and ship the part. Do that a few 100 times a year and it cuts into the bottom line.
Ive actually paid for "warranty parts" because I knew I broke it, but the company was willing to give them to me.
I am a newbie to this forum and I wanted to chime in. Some background first. I am a 20+ year user of Dillon products staring with a 550 and now 3 650's and a brand new Super 1050. I do not continue to biz with anybody if they mis treat me. Tha being said, Dillon has always taken great care of me and my screw-ups. After reading most of this thread I am struck by the supporter for Dillon and how I agree with them.
The OP is like a few customers I have in my store (I am an FFL in a one man shop.) These customers seam to think that I am in a NON-Profit organization. I also think that the tone of his OP and the title of this topic reflects the way he spoke to and dealt with Dillon's Customer Service. They are human beings and, in my experience, have NEVER done anything to warrant the tone of this topic.

Newbie to the Forum but not a newbie to Dillon products. Been using a 550 for about 20 years, have 3 650's and just gave birth to my first Super 1050 in 223.
Other Dillon products include a 1200 trimmer, supper swagger tumblers... and the list goes on and on. LOTS of blue in my reloading room.
Haing issues with the new kid on the block is why I signed up here.

either way they should be staying in the pockets. The ones I have are the (so I hear) Older brass cup models. so I guess they are softer and deforming just a little, enough to fall out.
