question.. how much to get a .40TS fitted with a 9mm barrel? Where would I even begin that process?

Awesome.. Yea I can't get it to fit into my gauge unless it's .380 or less.. .381 fits... I just have to push the bullet into the gauge it doesn't freely drop.. Maybe I need to clean it Hahaha.. Thanks for the reply look forward to the new stuff

I have but no one knows if it's actually allowed. When I ask everyone is like "I dunno, but I don't see why not" trying to find the rule. Since it's "limited" rules.. Naturally thought it had to be cocked and locked

I think the point I am trying to make is, yes I would be interested in a looser one.. One because I don't want to chamber check 400-800 rounds (shootings majors and 3 gun matches) one at a time.. F@#K that.. and 2 I want to be able to have a lighter crimp to increase the accuracy of my ammo as you won't to avoid over crimping, especially on plated ammo. Everything I read about plated ammo is you want to have a barely visible crimp ring if one at all (someone correct me if I am wrong here). And with the popularity of plated ammo on the rise... I think a looser gauge would make sense?
But also damn, that means I have to buy another $100 gauge, cause this one won't get used as long as I am using plated ammo.

specifically was curious about the black version.. It seems pretty tight.. I try to use as little to no crimp as possible since I use plated bullets.. But the hundo black gauge doesn't fit those rounds but they chamber just fine in my accushadow.. I should actually say they do fit the hundo but the don't drop right in.. I have to gently press them down then they will show flush.. Not sure if I should be concerned, or maybe I just suck at loading. But I figure they were all possibilities. Especially the suck factor.. I tired to measure the average case rim multiple it by 2 then add the bullet diameter then add together to get exactly no crimp and adjust half turn more for variances between brass. But it still won't fit the gauge but fits the barrel no problem. I read the thread on how your anodizing is top notch and I have no concerns there.. so perhaps a looser version would work better for me?
Gun is (CZ SP-01 Accushadow, probably doesn't make a difference so I will just throw it out there anyways)
Long story short is if I do get it to drop in freely then I have a fat crimp ring around the bullet when I pull it, and my understanding is you typically want to avoid overcrimping on the plated bullets?
Or Perhaps I have an old version of the hundo I have heard people say that too?

Bringing this thread back to life (hopefully).. I am using the new spring and follower from CZ Custom and their basepad extensions on the factory 18 round mag.. and I am getting 22 rounds.. 23 if I really really really try to squeeze the last one in there.. any advice on getting 23 easy or even the magical 24?
Also I have one mag that seems to get caught up, as in the follower gets stuck half way down the tube and the rounds dont feed up.. thats another problem all together im sure.

Think the title says it all.. Using a CZ Shadow with thin safeties can be a pain to manipulate.. So on the start, can you start hammer down, since this is considered a safe condition?

I shoot my Accu-shadow in production.. when 3 gun comes I slap my magwell and short grips on and go to town.. I know it is hard on the gun and perhaps ill get something different down the road. But I like just shooting 1 gun focusing all my time on one platform. As much as I want to just go buy another gun or shoot a plastic fantastic. I stop myself and I realize that the trigger in this gun feels so close to a 1911/2011 in terms of reset and break with the CZ custom STRS I dont feel like I need a 2011 ( i used to own one and yes they are nice to shoot as well). I don't know maybe one day i'll shoot a different gun just for 3 gun but for now this guy works like a champ.. and it's all i shoot .........for now..

I have been using my accushadow for 3 gun, and so I left the regular safeties on the gun to make it easy to engage the safety even though it is somewhat uncomfortable.. But I will say as someone mentioned above.. I used the Scott Speerman extra power safety springs.. and its much harder to accidentally engage it. But it is also a very nice positive engagement when you do engage it on purpose.

Nothing, that corner never even so much as crossed my mind, never bothered me personally. I used grips like that for a while.. just switched to VZ though cause I like the way they feel, nothing to do with the sharp edges.

Probably a stupid question but how do I adjust the Diopter on this scope.. (new guy).. its smaller than what my eye sees at 1x.. so like the person said before i have to set it at like 1.2ish to get closer to true 1x

I want, but i think I would miss the leverage I get when having to shoot strong/weak with the original safety.. reminds me of my 2011.. I could throw my thumb on there and really get a solid grip.. but they get annoying when shooting freestyle... DECISIONS DECISIONS..

Did a quick comparison to a TR24....the eyebox is not quite as large/forgiving on the vortex, but it is pretty close; which says a lot. Because the TR24 is not picky at all.
What I did initially notice yesterday playing around with 1X on the vortex was that it made objects seem smaller....I am talking about at close objects ~ 15 yard away. And with both eyes open it was a bit disorienting. Then I noticed the focus adjustment was turned all the way in (clockwise). I turned it out counter clockwise a bit and was able to tune the 1x so objects ~ 15 yards seemed truly 1x. I don't know if the focus ring is shipped from the factory turned in all the way, and I don't know if the focus ring also has the dual purpose if fine tuning @ 1x. I guess I will find out at the range when my distant targets seems blurry.
As for the objects looking smaller at 1x i am noticing that too when objects are fairly close within the 15 yards as well.. Can anyone explain why that is? maybe slap some knowledge on me? Is it like that with all 1x scopes to some degree?.. it seems when I put it to about 1.25 then everything is almost spot on.

So I have read alot about the Jager guide rod being legal for production since it is all "One Piece"
But what about ZEV 4th Gen Guiderod Reducer Ring
I know it wouldn't be all "One piece" but is there a way to run a non captured guide rod in a Gen 4 Glock 34 for USPSA Production and be legal?
Been all over the interwebs can't find it

The #1 uspsa shooter in Ga shoots a glock 34. He also excels in 3gun. I myself prefer the glock 34 with an upgraded trigger and some Dave sights and good stippling

LOL yeah he does, we do have a lot of great shooters in GA that shoot plastic fantastics though.. Noveske Team is out here and with Atlanta 3 Gun up and going lots of great shooters to be found still as well.

PS you start hammer down if you go DA/SA so no safety to worry about.. and DA is not a challenging thing to overcome on a good trigger job with some dry fire and practice

I agree with Andreas, I feel the safety is in a weird spot for me coming from 2011 still guns its a bit lower.. but as for the 4 things you mentioned above.. everything is better minus Reliability.. Glocks.. they just run.. but with a CZ it will run all day as well just make sure you do your yearly or bi-annual maintenance on springs and what not. But its not like I haven't seen a glock fail either when you go all crazy with after market parts

Been shooting 147's but wanted to try the 135 train one time so I can say I tried it atleast.. after hit batch of 4k 135's I will make my final decision between 124, 135 and 147's.. as of right now its the 147's till I give these 135's an honest go.
