I've run literally everything and everything has failed at some point - except the trusty Cmore Slideride. If I could mount that on my CO gun, I would. I settled on SRO 2.5 for CO. I have had one fail and Trijicon replaced it quickly. It was probably a fluke thing but that dot had seen less than 500 rounds and went completely dead during dry fire; true story. Trijicon was responsive via email and they ended up sending me a completely new optic.
I still run a slideride where possible. Recently, I've tried RTS2 but end up coming back to the using a 507 but recently moved into the SRO.

CMC 8/10rd or older Wilson Combat 8rd mags.

I agree. My wife and I shot at Hellcat when taking our re-cert course for CCW. She loved it. Then I got my 365 for roughly the same $$ at that time. Never looked back.

I ran these in all my mags in my P16 Limited

I know old post. I've ran a g17 open gun with the SJC mount for years w/o problems. Recently I added a Carver mount to my G34. It does seem weird that the optic is slightly offset to left of center line.

I agree.

I 'm trying out a new pair of Hunter HDS Ruby glasses. The first think I noticed is the ruby lenses filter out blues and greens. Both appear black. A local range had a home-grown SC type event with different colored plates. The green ones were like a black hole and blended into the background. I also noticed because of this, green traffic lights are also filtered out and will appear to never turn on...lol

I am using TK .035 moons. All the brass I have sorted out for my 929s is WCC (Winchester) GI brass or WIN brass. Federal and Speer are good also.
Remington is the worst. I put that junk in my lost brass pile.
I agree with Tom, except I've had some issues with WCC brass in the .035 moon clips. I use TK for all of my moon clip needs.

I've used a majority of these and really liked WAC with 3n37 being 2nd for my G17 Open gun.

I've had great luck with ZEV and Glockworx triggers before. I get surprised when I practice with my G17 open gun after practicing with some of the factory options.

I bought one of the Extreme Setups for my STI. It didn't seem much more complicated then stripping a regular 1911 frame, besides the screws attaching the frame to the grip.

I have to look at mine. I think I only have one that would allow any type of movement of the module. Most are very form fit and even hard to remove.
-
I would be sometime I'd like to replace some older dot setups. It was hard going back to single dot instead of the circle dot with my eyes gettng older.

Gold Star for KKM! Sheared the locking lug off of my open gun. Called KKM and after a brief conversation sent me a new barrel and a prepaid return shipping label the same day!

Need to a picture of the top and a side view to see if there's anything additonal that needs to be cleaned up that's preventing 1) barrel and slide lockup in the front 2) Action hangup that's causing the slide not to move freely.
Take everything out, but leave the rails and test the slide movement. Look for basic hangups or drag marks.

That's a great idea! I completely forgot about that. You can order a blank Allchin mount.

Modernsportsman has one in their retail store ($1379) and listed on gunbroker.

I've going through this thought process for a loooooonnnnngggg time. I have a classic Caspian 9x23 open gun with a frame mounted holosight. It's been working great for almost 30 years. But it's finally time to change things up a bit. I've looked at getting the hybrid comp replaced with a portless threaded barrel setup for 9mm. Then trying to find a new optic and base to use. But finding someone to possibly weld and retap the frame has been impossible to find. The only quote I got to fit and ream the barrel and weld the frame was nearly $1500 and 'at least a year' wait.

I used the Aftec extractor to convert from super to supercomp and have never had a problem. This is being ran in an old school Caspian frame.
-
I've used the SDM sights on most of my pinned S&M revolvers.
-
Has anyone been successful in finding any of these recently?
-
I've ran few of them for production and limited. They're decent for their cost, but I like Comp-Tac products better.

I run a C-more railway on a ported 686+ and a 507c on my comped 929. I compare them to shooting framed mounted open guns vs slide mounted.
