  1. What osageid said on the disassemble, wear eye protection and be careful, make certain that you have the correct internal tube installed in the feed, if you used a large tube with small primers they could twist and clog, with the proper tube a clog has never happened to me, once we did start with no tube installed at all, that clogged right off the bat but was easy to clear once removed from the press

  2. I would go ahead and order one to get in line, Dillons back order time for dies and caliber changes has been much faster than they advertised. They seem to be cranking stuff out pretty quickly now, hopefully the same applies to presses. While you are waiting work on all the other tons of doodads you will need to go with the press, scales, tumblers etcetc etc....

  3. I would definitley call Dillon and ask for the alignment set, they shipped it right out to me, saturday mornings at opening time is easy to get in, last time I called the lady told me it may be 15 minute wait! I laughed and said 15 minutes would be great!

The alignment pin fits in the powder drop die and fits into the primer seater hole (with the primer seater removed) if the platform is lined up.

Mine moves slightly in the bottom position and is very solid in the up position, the main difference between our presses is my platform is steel, yours is cast aluminum and may be slightly differant, I havent seen one up close, on my steel platform the only way I could see it being off is if it shifted on those screws or if it bent. Hope you find it and let us know what the final outcome was.

  4. There are two large allen head screws in the center of the platform, they may have come loose, there is an alignment pin dillon sends you to center it properly, it can probably done without it but tricky, I would grasp the platform and twist it back clockwise slightly to see if it shifts, there are several posts on here of those screws coming loose. All of the linkage is tight right? Thinking back to mine, I am thinking some lock tite would be a good idea on those since that alignment is so critical.

  5. Buzi, mine is from 93 also! I looked at the attachment of the case feed body assembly and it is pretty solid, I had my platform off last week to clean some rust off the bottom and the alignmemt is critical, dillon sent me an alignment tool to put it back on, if the two scews holding the platform came loose it may have shifted, that seems more likely to me.
