My bad, last time I looked they didn't have the moa reticle you speak of, just the duplex one. As appealing as that scope looks I can't get past mounting a gift wrapping paper tube sized scope on my rifle.
Not that much longer than any other scope that's a tac 30 for comparison

Thank you Tony I hear what is being sooo long. 13" may be a deal breaker for me too. I have a Vortex 2.5-10x32 on a AR now. It's 12.8 does not look bad. Still I'll have to think about it.

I think it is expensive for what it is, has no advantage at max power and a disadvantage on the bottom end. There are a bunch of great scopes in that price range I just don't see the attraction. I tried to talk my buddy out of buying one but he is what I refer to as an "askhole". He ended up not liking it and selling it to get a Vortex.
"askhole" Did you get that from Snipershide or they get it from you? Either way it good.

SWFA SS HD 1-6x24 Tactical Scope For 3 Gun?
I'm thinking about selling my current scope and getting one.
I've heard the eye box is very narrow on 6x and no daylight illumination
Anyone running one of these? What do you think?

Things I like about this scope
Generous eye box
Fire dot that works in sunshine
I like the looks
I like the size and weight
I like the glass
Things I don't like about this scope
The subtensions are very wide
1.25x
The 1st dot for elevation hold over is 350 meters.(but I just used it at 100yds or less)
Now I'm thinking about trading it.

Leupold 1.25-4x20 VX-R Patrol 30mm Riflescope for 3 gun. What are the opinions? Now I know it's not a true 1x. But I've heard other scopes are not really true 1x when they claim to be.
The firedot works in day light. When you turn it on you have a very good red dot with clear glass and magification.
It's light, very good glass, nice looking scope, moderly priced. Is there something I'm missing as why it's doesn't get pluged for 3 gun?

Thank you roxy. Is that the same stock as the Urbino?We customized a M1 pistol grip on my VersaMax. Works great. No more recoil on a Versa.

Has anyone tried these. I'm thinking of changing because I like the pistol grip on my AR. And of course the cool factor is off the charters.
But a 12 gauge shotgun is not an AR-15.
What do you think about it. Does the felt recoil increase? Is it well made and does it fit. What is the down side. Is there a down side for 3 gun I don't see? Note: I'm NOT a top 3 gunner

I was looking to buy either RRA R3 or the Stag Arms 3G. I ended up buying the Stag Arms 3G. The Stag Arms was more money. But when you figure in the up grades I would have added it was a lot cheaper. I got the Geisele 3-gun trigger,Magpul ACS stock, and the Samson 15" hand guard. For about 100.00 more than RRA R3.
And my Stag arms 3G is a great rifle. I am very happy.
PS No I didn't get a rifle that was the same as the JP.I got very good rifle for the money I spent.

Thank you for your reply. Your right that is not my problem. My problem was not being prepared.
Finding out about the zero is only one of the things I'm doings to be better prepared the next time.

I have a 1.25x4 Patrol with a SPR Fire Dot scope on my AR-15. What is the best yardage to Zero my scope. For Multi gun?
I have it zeroed at 100 yrds right now
I shot one match with it zeroed at 100 yrds .I didn't do very well. I kept thinking I really don't know where these rounds are impacting the target
Before I go to another match I want to know what my rifle is doing from 25'to 200 yrds.

Freedom Munitions built a store front location here in Houston. It's about 3 miles from my house. I've shot about 500 rds out 2000 I bought no problems at all.
It is reloaded ammunition.

Ok, gander showed in stock last night so I pulled the trigger and have one comming to the local Houston store. A little more than I wanted to pay but that rule doesn't apply to guns does it?
I know what you mean JD. I didn't what spend that much on my Versa Max. (Black) But I really do love that gun. I bet you will really love this gun.

Damn I was just in there Friday morning.
Keep trying Gander Mountain they have a lot of Versa Max shotguns. I got mine there on 290.

Larry and Kuan know a lot more about firearms than I do. I am not very knowledgeable at all.
My question is has anyone else looked down the barrel of a Versa Max tactical?
My Versa Max tactical's chamber is exactly the size of the barrel. There is not any type ridge or any obstruction that would stop a 3-1/2 shot shell from unfolding.
3-1/2" shotshells will unfold in my Versa Max tactical. Is there any other reason. not to shoot 3-1/2" shotshells.
I hope Larry or Kuan will straighten me out on this.

Because they provide an advantage. Just like comps and optics do in Open. Why would they not be in Open?
That is my question. Why are Ported Chokes banned in the other divisions.
Is the answer to give more advantage to Open shooters?

It does not matter which one you get they all work good.
Just be sure to grease everything they say, grease it like they tell you to. Be sure to align everything up tighten everything up. Don’t over tighten it. Use the instruction, all the manufactures have video use them. You tube is a great source of instruction.
