  1. Hey Guys I talked to Joe at PD, and he was very eager to take care of this problem. He continued to ask me "what he could do to make this right". I do feel I should have caught the mix on my end. You guys, I did LOOK AT VERY CLOSLY, MEASURE and WEIGH approx. 10 to 12 bullets before I started loading with these new bullets. I guess I will be a bit more careful. Still after going minor at a Area match and having people think you don't know what the hell your doing at the reloading bench, I will continue to use Precision Delta Bullets. I did not ask Joe for anything other than to make it right for everyone else that buys or will buy PD bullets. Thank you and I will talk to Bulm540 and let him know face to face.(he's one of my shooting buddies)

    Thanks everyone Chris :)

  2. I kept the key in weak hand and shot targets on the way to the window strong hand, dumped mag at window shoved key in hole grab fresh mag and hosed!!

Take the long way around, popper at 30 yards was not my way for shooting this stage(dot gun may be different). I did not have to wait on door to open and you were closer to the right side of shooting area.

I think you ran it the best way

  3. Hey Guys I just bought 2000 of what I thought were 180gr 40s. I loaded up a few hundred and ran them over the chrono. Everything was great 170.2 pf. I get all my stuff together to shoot Area 5, match is going pretty good until we go to the chrono. three rounds 953, 947, 943. I am thinking great no problems, then the guy at the chrono says bullet weight 165.5 :o . WTF I tell the guy no way I shoot only 180gr and can you please pull another bullet the result was 165.2gr. I throw my hands in the air and get scored minor  I get home and check the box in which the bullets were shipped and stamped on the top was 180gr 40cal. I then take a hand full and start putting each one on the scale: 179.8 165.3 179.9 180.1

THE Q. C. DEPARTMENT AT PRECISION DELTA HAS A BIG PROBLEM. The unopened box of 1000 that I never opened was the same thing. I have been told that precision does not make a 165gr round nose flat point at this time. I have to disagree. I will just have to mark it as, when changing bullet makers check the bullets closely and weigh them

  4. Hey Merlin YES this can be welded! Dillion presses are made of cast Aluminium not "pot metal". Easy enough to weld with a TIG welding machine. I will be glad to weld for you, if that is what you want? I would send back to Dillion. They have a NO B.S. warranty and will replace any broken or wore out part no matter the age of the press. Hope this helps.

  5. Thanks to all the BE forum guys I got to meet in person. I was the CRO on stage 1&2. The match had the BEST group of shooters that I have had the pleasure of running. So thankful for the Better weather for you guys on Saturday and Sunday.

Now, us R O s have a good excuse for shooting poorly. Except for Sam, and we all know he's not a man but a WHEEL GUN SHOOTING MACHINE

It was an R O's treat to be behind the timer and Jake on the trigger. A great shooter and even a greater guy!! Hope to see you at Area 5 in Sept.

Thanks again for all the great people I got to meet this weekend. You are the guys that make if worth coming out and busting your **s for three days. ;)

    Chris

  6. Update for fellow readers. I was the R. O. for stage 1 & 2. Jake was HOT!!! Not sure of his time on the classifier, which was stage 1, but stage 2 was a 18 round all paper course with about 5 yards of movement. The trick to the stage was placement and trigger control. Our man Jake burned it down in 4.78 seconds.

The best I can remember the best time before that was like 5.06 seconds.

18 rounds 5 yards of movement 4.78 sec. WOW!!! JAKE YOU ARE THE MAN.

Thanks to all for a great match. I have enjoyed ROing all three years that we have had it here in Dickson. Not sure of which Club will host it next year.

  7. Hate to hear the bad news! Since this was a local match and you not being a newbie and was the first stage, was it possible to move the target array to eliminate another less experienced shooter from doing the same thing??

Just wondering because we have quite a few 1-2 year shooters at our club. Thanks glock24man

  8. Metal mags in a glock is a no no!! Metal mag on plastic mag catch, the mag catch will lose. Just think if someone made metal mags and a metal after market mag catch?? I would give it a try. Wouldn't be legal in production. Thanks glock24man

  9. If you need help with what color and size to use, start with the smallest red insert there is in the pack. I have seen some packs not have the red insert, but I think that was with the first sets sold. glock24man

  10. Just a note: If you are putting it on a 24 slide, the hole in the slide to tighten the front sight is smaller than the one in the 35 slide. You will have to grind the sight tool to a smaller diameter to fit the smaller hole. BE CAREFUL not to grind too much off, as it will crack the side wall of the sight tool when you tighten the sight. I had it happen to me on the first try!!

    Thanks glock24man
