Just on my knowledge of aerodynamics (its extensive), I would say round tip is more aerodynamic. However, I doubt it is enough to make much difference out to the normal 30-40 yards. At that point I would be more worried about drop and speed of the round.

Oh don't even get me started. I will be going to 2 classes before classification in march. I am doing 1hr a day in front of my tv with that powerpoint target dryfire exercise. Im ready to get to it!

Holy crap this is exactly what I was looking for! K I'm going to start writing up my next training session.

It does help but what does it mean if I'm seeing the front sight rise erratically or or say it rises up/left. In what way should I adjust my grip?

Ok i've been trolling seriously for a few months now in order to start my first USPSA season in March. I see a lot about how important it is to see the sights raise in order to get a good follow up shot, and I have the basic concept. But could someone enlighten me on the finer points? Anything more elaborate at all. Im a visual learner so a video or pics would be awesome.
Crap. Cant change title. Mods can you correct my terrible iphone misspelling?

I'd like to get into USPSA production but have one very important question that Google couldn't answer. I have a m&p40 which will have to be my competition gun but I run it with a s&w 9mm factory barrel (I don't want a discussion on if it works or not, I've used it for years on the range with great success). Since I want to run Production, can I use the 9mm barrel? Again, it is straight from the factory. I don't want to use .40 because power factor is null. Thanks
"See the soghts rise"?

Good for you! I had similar results today at the range.
