  1. Does anyone know of a racker that is high and you can get it away from your thumb. I have a bad habit of running my thumbs high and pounding it with the racker ( Not fun at all, by the way!!!!) :surprise: I would like to keep the racker on the support side if possible. I currently have a detent racker from CK Arms. Also, I have a offset mount on top. I would like to avoid getting the hole top of the slide milled a switch sides. Anys uggestions would be greatly appreciated.

But Yes, even as much as I hate banging my thumb I would suggest one.

  2. Shooting Limited Minor will kill you. You would be better off shooting production or upgrading to a G22 or G35. Unless you have no problem shooting Alpha's. for every c you shoot miinor you are losing a point to a major C. Time that by 15 targets ( You are 15 in the whole before you even started. ) Also, Have a plan ready - I heard you on the first stage saying which way do I go. That should be figured out way before you're up. On the 3rd video pay attention to your splits the targets seem to be the same distance yet on one target it sounds like you have .30 splits and then you start to rush with just say .20 splits.

Please post on how the Shannon class was very interested in that.

Just my 2 cents. Hope it was somewhat helpful.

  6. I ask for the third time.

    Dustin,

Question for you. if the Company that did your coatings on the barrels and comp didn't fair well shall we say and you only planned to sell 300 all year. That should mean you had less than 100 barrels coated on a good day and even received back. Seems there was a huge run of limited so let's say (60) limited barrel between 2 calibers and, (40) Open between 2 calibers. ( I believe they are high estimates ) when is the 1st batch of Open guns going out meaning more than 10? Seems to date only 2 have been shipped and no one has received any yet or at least posted about it.

Do you have a new company performing the coating or is it still in R&D? Since no open guns were shipped I am guessing you received no coated open barrels back for the general public and the ones that were received were only for the shooting team members.

As always appreciate the updates and all you do.

    And the cancellations begin!!!!!!!

  7. Well, anyone waiting for a DVC 38 Super Open.. You just moved up a spot. :surprise: Although I was in the # 1 slot at one of the largest dealers... I have gone in a different, and I believe, better direction. I was waiting for an update from Dustin promised last week on this site (May 7) but never heard anything since.

For a few hundred more I have a custom gun to shoot now.

Life is short. Shoot now. Wait later. I don't always shoot Open - but when I do - I shoot Now. :roflol:

    cheers

    +1

  8. I am just wondering when the cancellations might start? Good thing they are both priced right. I think that will keep some interest.

Still no "OPENS" They must still be sitting on the bench waiting for Barrels to be coated/Fitted/Hard Chromed/Something. I know Dustin said a week or so ago, some where going for hard chrome and it takes a few weeks. Also, they were making runs of both guns everyday. One would think more guns would be coming to market. I know all of STI was working OT to catch up with the demand ( Thank you for that )

Keep your heads up. Maybe in June. :angry2:

  10. It is with great sadness that we must let you know of the passing of a member of the Bridgeville Rifle & Pistol Club and frequent IDPA participant Benjamin ("Irv) Rippons. Irv passed away this past Thursday, April 23 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD.

Below is a link to Irv's obituary, and rather than repeat all of his accomplishments, we refer you to it.

    Irv will be greatly missed

Crickets........ LOL - Is it fair to say you have no coated barrels for open????????

Trunkmnky...chill out and give Dustin a break. It's the weekend...I wouldn't be responding to your never ending questions and complaints on my days off either. You are more impatient than a 2 year old and I should know because I have one.

These are very popular guns and it might take a while for some of us to see ours. Asking "Are we there yet" every 15 min. isn't going to make STI produce them any faster. Be patient, wait your turn, and before long you will have your precious new open gun. SMH

Zmego - Go have fun with your 2 year old he/she will be grown before you know it . I am spending money here. Are we there yet? Dang I missed a few 15 mins. :roflol:

I am just looking for a straight up answer. Seems Dustin keeps saying they are going to be shipped and nothing yet. I feel everyone deserves an answer. I also have told Dustin several times how much I appreciate what he is doing and all the folks at STI. All I want is a Straight up answer here.

Is that too much to ask?????????? Maybe for you. However, not for me.

  14. Houston - Can you tell everyone if we receive free shipping. Since all STI's are being sent now with free shipping on your website?

    yes.....

+2 for Dawson stepping up t the plate.

Now, if only STI would ship a good amount of Open guns maybe we could get to reviewing and shooting. LOL
