  1. I will be using 180 rnfp Xtreme bullets, I already load 5.1gr of win 231 and it shoots pretty good out of my G23 but it seems like it has more kick out of the G35, scratching my head, maybe powder speed is not a good match for the longer barrell.. I may start shooting local match and would like to make major PF

, I have Clays , 700X, 800X, win 231, HP38 and a couple of others, Ive been Loading on a Dillon 650 since 1992 and just started loading on a SL900 for my sporting clays habit.

  2. Comparing it to other 1911s is a good idea, I know my Kimber would not run until I shortened and profiled the ejector using a great guide on the Brazos website.

I read the article after I made some other changes, good read and I profiled the ejector as described works great now, still throws an occasional 4 1/2 to 5 ft. case but most of them fall about a 1 1/2 ft from my right foot, no more flyers..

  3. I have a Bul M5, Shoots great but ejects the spent round over my right forarm / elbow about 8ft and is hits the range glass about 4ft up, there is a row of chairs along the back wall and the brass hits anyone sitting there in the head. Im going to measure all the ejectors in my other 1911's and maybe shorten it up. Most of my other guns the brass lands at their feet.. And probably change the the slide spring out. Any thoughts??

  4. Ck out the Rock Island 22TCM, comes with a 9mm bbl also and shoots great, takes the para 38super mags, has some enhancments over their other M1911a2 9mm, sights, beavertail and commander style hammer Fit and finnish are better than some of my name brand guns.. Ive been shootin 9mm from mine from the get go, prices on the 22TCM ammo move from $15-$28+ 9mm is cheaper and I can reload it.

Did I say its a GREAT SHOOTER :) :) I was told the price should be dropping because there not moving very well. Might buy a second one.

  5. I just picked up the RIA double stack TCM, $593 OTD, took out the TCM barrel and spring and installed the supplied 9mm set up, only had a chance to run 5 mags through it :( , very pleased with it, took it home and checked trigger pull it was 3.5 to 3.75 lbs tried it about 7 times (love it ) it takes the Para P18 mags, Mag that was supplied was a MecGear MG P18 .38S ordered couple more from Greg Cote, the double stack 45 uses P14 mags, friend has the 45 and we used my p14 mags in it.. Fit is great finish is nice, GREAT GUN FOR THE MONEY Now they need to offer the Double stack 45 in a tactical version...

  6. Looking at a Bul M5.. Already have a Kimber Polymer and dont want to mod it or wear it out..

Any opinions or problems, how many rounds will it last? Will other triggers and springs fit? Any dealers in U.S.?

  7. I have been using 95gr rn Rainer copper plated with 2.9gr of win 231, wondering if it is still the best powder for the 380? Need to run a new batch..

I used up my 231 and am wondering if I should try something else? Shooting mostly from Walther PP and PPK..

  8. Went to range yesterday, after 150 rds of 36gr federal copper jhp through the GSG 1911 I have only had a few issues.

    1. The magazine will not catch / lockin if it has 10rds in it and the slide is not back / open

    2. failed to eject the spent round about 4 times. Think I seen a fix for that on You tube before I bought it.

    3. It also stove piped about 4 times

Not bad otherwise, I will adjust the trigger length and take the sharp corner off of the thumb safety ( maybe just replace it ) and install an extended slide stop first, probably with the same parts that are on my P12, then some sights later.

  9. A friend and myself picked up a pair of the gsg's last wk and are going to the rang this wk. :) We both have a box of Federal high velocity 36 gr copper plated hp, and I also have a 3 pound bucket of Remington 22lr hi-speed 40gr lrn Thunderbolt bullets. Any experience with these rounds? Should I bring something else for a backup?? Hate to have ammo trouble the first time out. Cant hardly wait till thursday...

  10. I just picked up some x treme bullets look like the Rainier bullets, (having a hard time getting Rainier) I am loading mixed brass, 115gn rn copper coated/ jacketed with 4.8 win 231 at 1.115oal, by my old loading notebook was a very accurate load, shooting Glock 17, 19 and 26 I have not loaded much since 1998.

Anyone famillier with the Xtreme bullets??? And by what I'm reading around here would a heavier bullet have less kick??

    Finally back at it.
