  1. What power recoil spring would you recommend?

    Btw....thanks for helping

To confirm, will you be loading minor loads for your .40?

I am currently running a 13lb 1911 spring on my 9mm P320 and like that so far.

For .40 minor I think a 13 or 14 would be a good place to start.

Best bet would be to buy a reduced power calibration kit from Wolff. That would give you a wide range of recoil spring weights to experiment with so you can find the best ballance for your gun and load.

P320 guide rods that accept 1911 recoil springs are available from Gray Guns and from Springer Precision.

    I actually don't reload....yet

I am looking for the softest .40 ammo that I can get.

  2. Anyone had any experience with the .40 cal P320 Fullsize in competition ?

I had an opportunity to get a .40 at a GREAT price, but am afraid the recoil will be drastically different than my 9mm handguns.

  3. I finally shot my G34 after putting 3.5lb Ghost connector, trigger spring, plunger spring......and the difference was like night and day. I love the way it feels now, but plan to add the reduced weight striker spring and 13lb recoil spring just to see if I like.

  4. I plan to run SSP for a while. As I get better, I would like to try some more classifications. I'm trying to talk my wife into understanding why I need to build an Open gun with my G17.....lol

  5. Thanks for all of the replies. I ended up putting the factory striker spring back in and have had zero issues. Now I need to sell my gen4 G17, before my wife kills me. The G34 is sweet!!!

  6. Thanks for the advice. So, probably best to at least start with putting the stock striker spring back in? How about the other stuff that I did, as far as reliability?

    Thanks again.

  7. I am just starting to get my feet wet in IDPA, but have been shooting all my life. I recently acquired a Glock 34 (gen 3) and have added the following mods:

Ghost 3.5lb connector and Trigger Spring

    4lb Striker Spring

    Ghost Plunger spring

My question is.......Knowing that I will surely have some light strikes, what pound recoil spring would be recommended with this setup? I was thinking a stainless with 13lb, but just making sure that is ok.

    Thanks
