The tool head is always pressed upwards when seating, so I don't see how it could affect your OAL. But if it bothers you, you can shim it one way or the other. I Heli-Coiled the tool head, and replaced the pins with screws which hold the head tight to the top, eliminating the slop.
I think slop or a warped case holder would be more likely.

Are you trying to seat and crimp simultaneously?

Best carry gun ever made.

That's news to me. Every single person I know that's PC pure and ran it at 9 velocities has has nothing but issues. 45 guys I know are doing it all day long with no leading, keyholes, etc.I cast pure lead with about 1% solder, pc, for 9mm, IDPA loads.
Well, it is mostly because they don't know what they are doing. The fit of the bullet to the bore is critical.

If you do find it to be pure lead, the muzzle loading guys will trade you for it.

Good find.
Find a scrap yard with an X ray spectroscopy gun. They will tell you the composition.

Well my finger was going faster than my brain when I said AP was illegal in rifles, I meant handguns.
But I have no excuse for the Teflon. Thanks for the link.
-
Maybe you are right.
I know AP bullets are not illegal for rifles. But the last time I read the BATF definition of AP pistol bullets they referred to brass, bronze, steel, and Teflon specifically.
Anyone got the specifics?

I would caution that adding Teflon to your paint would fall into a definition of illegal "armor piercing" bullets.
-
I would try not to drop it onto a hard surface.

You do realize that you just disabled the drop safety, don't you?
-
Absolutely for mixed brass.

I have owned both the LNL and the 650. I gave the LNL to a friend, and kept the Dillon.
If you ever look in the IDPA magazine after the finals, they list equipment used. There is a reason these high volume shooters are using Dillon reloader by something like 98 to 2.

I am all for it.

There are a LOT more IDPA matches around here than USPSA, so that should tell you something.

You need to do some reading. The noise reduction at the frequencies of gunshots is closer to 37.
-
Why do people keep saying the MSA Sordin are low attenuation. They are maybe the best. Do some reading.

The problem with the Uplula is, you have to have something like a table to push on.
The HKS lets you load without a table.

Make sure you don't have the large flat washer under the shell plate. I put it on top for 9's.

ArmorAll is slick, and doesn't have the acetone that your fingernail polish does.

I liked it for the couple of months it worked. Then it broke. Didn't buy another.

MSA with the gel cups. Sometimes I put plugs underneath.
