  1. Hey guys I'm lucky enough to be sponsored by MicroMoa.com . I did run the fluted 16" barrel with rifle length gas,and Govnah gas block. MicroMoa helped set up the gas for light load , suppressed, and wide open gas. I really enjoyed running the 16". The rifle ran like a top. My setup was a lightweight BCG, JP silent capture spring, Hiperfire trigger, and SJC titan. This rifle was setup for limited, but have since switched to a the 17.3 for tac optics just for a little bit more velocity, also running a CMC trigger. Both rifles shoot ridiculous soft. What's nice about the govnah gas block is you can change to wide open gas on the fly.

I used a Nordic 18" with Seekins gas block before switching to MicroMoa. The last Task Force Dagger match on a long range stage I was using 69 smk's . Well the Nordic went single action . If I had the Govnah gas block. I could adjust the gas on the fly and finish the stage successfully .

If you like options look at the Govnah gas block as well as the MicroMoa barrel- they are very accurate and shoot sub moa with Black Hills 77 gr ammo.

  2. I'm no expert, but I would have your buddy help you build an AR. I would contact Jeremy or TK at the Shooters Source , they have great deals on building the perfect 3 gun rifle.

Go with any mil spec upper and lower , Nordic .223 Wylde 18" barrel rifle length or if set on carbine length white oak armory has a nice 16" barrel as well, free float tube , a muzzle brake - miculek, JP, Titan etc, and a drop in trigger - CMC, hiperfire, JP etc, low profile gas block , rifle length buffer and stock to take advantage of the lower recoil. All the companies listed are big supporters of the sport and their products work well. Welcome to 3 gun!

  3. I have the same setup you have and it works awesome. I don't particularly care for the dual purpose seat/ roll crimp die. For me if I didn't have the bullet seated completely straight , it would cant and fall inside the case. I switched to a dillon seat and crimp die, and no longer have that issue.

My friend purchased the rcbs AR dies and there really isn't any difference. Hope it helps

  4. Paul glad you made it to the match, and I think you are going to be hooked after you shoot TFD.

I shot the USCA match . The match was fun , but I didn't care for a couple things in the match. I think it will draw some new shooters into multigun. I will go again next year if it doesn't interfere with any Major 3G event , that I plan on going to.

I thought for the most part they did a good job , but just have some growing pains and need a better way of scoring. I was also bummed they threw out the only long range stage .
