  1. I hate spending money on extras.  I assume one is starting with an as it should be set up with case feeder and a mount.
My most productive upgrade was to buy 5 extra primer tubes first off.

The light was like 12 bucks at target. It has a big advantage over the rip off priced  in frame lights, I can point it wherever I need it, like my hands if I need a good look at something, it is LED super bright.  I don't see a light as an option though, it is a must.
FA vibra prime, once cleaned up(molding lines) it works as well or better than the original, for almost no money compared to a rf300(I see it as the same thing on a stand, but hugely overpriced).  I fill up 6 tubes with it and I am set for a leisurely hour of loading.
I have a bullet feeder, but I just don't need it for most sessions.

  2. Reloading is a means to an end for most of us. I'm sure the guys that are comp shooting burn out on reloading quickly. I have never understood the 'reloading zen' thing. Those guys that cuddle a rockchucker in their basement all day are welcome to it.

I don't find it unenjoyable, but loading on an auto-indexing press is not what I'd call fun, too many things going on to have time for fun. Sure does pile up rounds fast, though. The other end of it, a slow and plodding single stage press.........I'd rather pull my fingernails out.

If I could buy factory ammo for the same price I'd be all over that.

  3. If you are shooting fmj the FCD is almost always okay and many won't load without it. If you are shooting lead it might not be so great, it depends. Some have complaints that it sizes the lead down ruining accuracy, some don't have the issue. Some folks have no problem using the seating/crimp die as intended. Many millions of rounds have been made that way over the years.

  4. I'm 6' 2", my bench is 36" and I have the 650 specific strong mount. Standing works fine, so does sitting on my 30" stool I use in the loading room(I usually kind of lean on it though, just to take the load off). I can see right down in the cases perfectly. The little red press next to it has an aftermarket handle that makes it feel the same height as the 650.

  5. Yes, grounding to your wall outlet doesn't seem like a great idea to me. If you happen to have contact with a hot source you are going to be an unrestricted path to ground. Zzzzap! Not pretty I'd guess.

Have something inline that will pop before you do?

I don't know, I'm not a sparky, I'll stick to dryer sheets for now.

  6. Yes^^

Pistol(s) ammo, mags, speedloader, glasses and muffs, a small regular towel. I have a small cleaning kit in there too. I might add a couple bore snakes(Quick and easy). I am looking for a small decent first aid kit.

Anything more is too much, I'm thinking.
