I have already bought a PA x1 microprism. I like it more than my Holosun 510

Nice, It looks pretty interesting.  Might have to try one, they are pretty reasonable and then make good optics.

Did anyone tried Prism x1 optics (Swampfox Blade for example) for fast Pcc target transitions end etc ?

I've tried a vortex spitfire 1x prism, I have a stigmatism so the etched reticle and choice between red or green is great.  I felt like reticle is just a bit too busy, wish they had a single dot option.  If you're going to be shooting out to distance (az pcc championship) the turret could come in quite handy.

  3. I'd been running a vortex UH1 for a good while, and recently switched to an Aimpoint T2.  I used to like eotech style reticle/window, but found I was picking up the red and sending it, sometimes it was the larger red circle instead of the center dot.  Now with the 2 moa dot of the T2, if I see the red somewhere near the A, its going to be in.  I wish Vortex made an option with just a center dot.  Plus side on the aimpoint is definitely no worry about battery life.

  4. I've been running the Coda, and they've been working really good.  I'm running the longer ones, only thing is I ordered them with their "bladetech" type mount and they were not very good.  I ended uo purchasing real bladetech belt mounts and haven't looked back.

  5. A good FF scope with a good reticle and getting actual dope for your setup/ammo.  Take good notes, write it on a little card and tape it to your scope, that should get you close depending on external factors.  I know for my 18 inch rifle zeroed POA/POI at 200 yds shooting 62 gr fed, I need to hold 1 mil for 300, 1.3 for 325, 1.5 for 350, 2 for 375, 2.3 for 400, 2.4 for 425, 2.5 for 450, etc.....and I got dope out to 775.  My buddy and I set up a small steel target, grabbed the rangefinder and walked back in 25 yard increments.

My other suggestion, is to go out with a buddy that shoots PRS matches and run his setup and help him offset the cost of the ammo.  Your long range game will improve dramatically, unfortunately you might find yourself sucked into the PRS life....

  6. I've got a 16.5 voodoo rifle length pencil barrel JP Low Mass, adj gas block,  with thin Mi handguard for bay style matches and a factory Barnes 18 inch 3G rifle for outlaw 3 gun matches with a 1 to 8.5 bushnell.  I end up running the light weight gun out to 200 anything beyond that I like the extra weight of the 18 inch.

  7. I don’t remember who explained it to me this way, but it made sense to me.  The way he described it was using your eye to capture an image much like the iris of an old slr camera opening up and exposing the film to capture the image.  As you press the trigger and the firing pin/striker hits the primer and ignites the propellant, your eye captures the sight picture in relation to the target.   I found it a lot easier to learn behind a carbine or bolt gun with a scope, but it’s a skill that comes in extremely handy when shooting falling/static steel, if you're waiting to see it fall or get sound confirmation, you are doing it wrong.

  8. I've been using the 9mm 140 mags for a few months and they've been working awesome.  I purchased 5 of the 140's in .40 and two of them are hit or miss when getting down to last 5 rounds.   Shot an indoor match last month and I dropped a fully loaded mag from my mag pouch accidently and it cracked in the front and launched 18 rounds across the range floor.

  9. Two anywhere or one alpha, until the sight radius comes in handy to engage 50 to 75 yard pistol steel or small steel targets at 25 yards.  That's if you shoot outlaw 3 gun matches on natural terrain stages, if you're mainly shooting bay style matches I feel like a 17 is fast enough.  I dropped a Wilson Barrel in my 17 and it groups better than my 34 with a kkm and the kkm that I had in it before, found myself running that this year and it worked out great.  Not sure if that helps any lol.

I guess what I was trying to say is shoot the one that you shoot most accurate.  Confirm on paper at distance i.e. 50 yards.
