  1. I have Montana gold 230g FMJ round nose, and titegroup powder. According to the Hodgdon powder load data 230g LRN calls for starting with 4.0g of Titegroup, and 230g FMJ FP calls for starting at 4.4 with Titegroup. My question is, since these are FMJ but not FP do I use the FMJ data or the LRN data? Thanks in advance.

  2. I have been out of the reloading loop for over a decade now, and I find this forum to be very helpful and refreshing. That being said, it was here that I became aware of Powder Valley for powder and primers. I was leaning towards Clays powder as so many here seemed to like it, but I thought why not call the guy who sells powder for a living and see what he has to say. So I did, I told him I plan to load .45acp 230g FMJ, and these were his recommendations in this exact order: 1. Tightgroup, 2. HP38, 3. Clays universal. I placed an order for all three, and will let you know my thoughts once I try them.

  3. After reading through the forum, I've gathered that a lot of you like Clays powder for loading 45acp., I also was referred to Powder Valley for the powder. Which one do I choose though? They have HODGDON CLAYS, HODGDON INTERNATIONAL CLAYS, & HODGDON UNIVERSAL CLAYS!?

  4. Hi, just joined after placing my order for a new 650 from Brian"s store! I haven't reloaded in over a decade and looking forward to getting back into it. Just a heads up, the place I go to for my tactical training, Gun for hire, recently started a new a podcast, they are on episode 13. Check it out on itunes or on their website gunforhire.com great guy's, great podcast. Very informative, and shows you what we in New Jersey have to put up with.
