I two am interested in the fix....I have a CTR02 built by JP, Lmas bolt carrier and buffer, that has run great and runs great but it won't lock back on an empty mag with the recoil system. Gas block opened all the way. Just took it out and will wait for a fix.

I had Dave do my carry STI escort in hard hat. It was looking bad so I had it done. It looks like new after two years of carry.

OK guys for carry 9MM in a 3 inch barrel, is it better to have light fast bullet 124gr or a heavy slower 147gr bullet.

I have 15K through my 18" JP barrel and it still shoots MOA. Of all the AR's I have it is the only one that will shoot 55's and 69's same poi at 100 yards, all the others have a group shift.

It took me quite a while to find this old post, so I started a thread with it to make it easier to find later...
And for a live-fire drill, next time you're at the range, try the following drill.
Set up 3 IPSC targets at 10 yards, about a yard a apart, edge to edge. Only hits in the A box count. On the buzzer draw and shoot one shot at each target - left to right, then repeat left to right, then repeat again left to right - for a total of 9 shots. Check your time, add a half second for each non-A, and note your score. You don't really care about your score that much, just remember it for later. Shoot a 6 - 10 strings, to establish an average score. While you're establishing your average - you're just shooting like you normally would. Don't try any new tricks or anything at all. In the end just know your average score for the drill.
As I was typing part 2, I thought of a way to keep it real. There won't be a part 2 until you go to the range and do part 1. Then PM me, and I'll reply with part 2.

Brian, would you send me part 2 again?

Yes the fail safe rod is adjusted correctly.....it's got me thinking twice about everything.

I have had my 1050 for 11 years, and it has now started to light load some shells (223's to 9MM all with different turrets and powder measures). The anti-reverse ratchet is on it, not getting squibs but lightly loaded shells, one in 200 to 300. They all go off but they are light and cycle the slide but different. Any ideas?
-
Load some heavy and fast 9MM, they are hard to spin with light bullets. As long as you make power factor change for the paper.

to Open or not to Open, that is the question...
Open! I want to see all the new toys.. and it moves me up one spot in Tactical
Heh, it would have been an easy choice if all my stuff was ready to go, but Im not going to have time to get my open pistol running before the match, so I'll have to borrow one (or maybe just use my limited one). I wont have the shotgun until end of next week, so I'll be betting on that its working OOB...
I'll Openify the rifle by slapping on a bipod, so at least I have one out of three ready to go...
Been wanting to shoot Open for so long that I'm not sure I can suffer through another match in Tac
I'll put my best lucky hat on and "game on" Gose

The problem is the mags. I have some mags that do that, if I use the mag as a rest and apply pressure from the back of the mag. It happens more as the mag gets close to the last rounds loaded. Find some mags that work and use them.
How Do I Figure My Hit Factor?
in USPSA Classifier Scores
Posted
Classifier scored at 103% what dose that mean? It was 3% over the best hit factor or GM group? Is there a list of the best hit factors somewhere?
