I switched to Win SRP when Fed SRP wasn't available. No issues with Win at all, not only on my open gun but every other gun that uses small primers.

We shot on Saturday and stage 3 was scored that evening. I guess someone moved it between sat evening and sun morning.

I finally gave up on the RTS2 and went back to the slide ride. I will have to say, cmore's customer service was very good and they stand behind their products.

115 MG-CMJ for my 7 hole 9 major.

I've tried to use my 38S mags (from STI Trubor) with 38S Grams follower in my 9 major and it will not run reliably. I run a thin bead of clear silicone on the steel spacer to hold the spacer in the tube. Stuff paper inside the tube overnight to compress the spacer in place. No rattle and it's not permanent.

I went thru the same thing with my 38s Trubor. It will shoot RN all say long but not JHP (both Zero & MG). RN also on the new 9 major, don't want to take a chance with HP.
-
I couldn't tell from the picture if its JHP or RN. You did say that you have no isuues with RN. If you are having an issues with MG JHP, switch to 124 CMJ or FMJ.

Maybe guns with holes are more likely to have issues with the rts2. So far between my 2 friends and I all had problems with our rts at least twice each and we all have holes. And every time we were promised the latest and the greatest of the updates.

On my Akai 9 major Katana, I'm using MG 115s with 9.2gr of HS6. Makes about 174pf.

Thank you Zack for all your hard work on these threads.

I think I'm going to give up on the RTS2 and going back to the old but reliable slide ride. New 9 major open gun with new RTS2 at around 700 rounds. The dot flicker and go out when I try to dim it. I have to press one of the buttons again to turn the dot on and then it starts at the dimmest setting and will only get to about 1/2 brightest setting. Called Cmore and they told me to send it back. I am also going to send back my other RTS2 that was fixed in Aug because there's another new update since then. So I guess I will have 2 expensive dots sitting around. I'll probably use it on my 22 steel gun, what a waste.

I was one of those that switched from 124 to 115 on my super. To me, the dot seems to move less but the gun definitely feels flatter with 115s. My load (N350)went from 8.2(124) to 8.8(115) at about the same pf of 169-171.

Update on the supposedly newest gen of RTS2 from Shootersconnection. After a little over 2000 rounds, the dot went out on my RTS2 in the middle of a match today. No amount of tinkering can get it to come on. I wedged a small piece of rubberband under the spring tab and changed the battery with no success. I guess I'm sending it back to cmore. I'm pissed but kind of glad this happened in a local match verses area 7 coming up. For now, I'm mounting my slide ride back on for a7 even if I get the rts2 back before that.

Recoil springs, aftec springs or fitted extractor, fitted thumb safety, grip screws(2011).

N320 or Titegroup if you can find any

I absolutely love the RTS2 over the slide ride. I did get the latest version from shooters connection and so far (1k rounds), never failed once.

I was using 8.0gr of N350 with MG124 CMJ with good results. Recently I switched to MG115 CMJ with 8.6gr of N350 @ 1.255 with Fed SR primers. I have to say the 115 & N350 is a nicer combo as far as dot tracking and slide speed.

Hello: Don't get a Steel Master if you plan to resell or shoot a normal USPSA/IPSC match. The Tru-Bor will work great for minor loads with just a recoil spring setup. I suggested the Tru Bor in the first place since you can start shooting now after it arrives from Shooter Connection. You can also use the money you saved for a Dillon reloading press and components. There are a lot of good builders out there but for what you want to do I would save the cash. I have 2 kids and know what it costs, it even gets more costly when they start shooting. Hope this helps. Thanks, Eric
That's some good advice. A TruBor is a great gun to start shooting open with and can have one pretty much right away. You can always sell it later to fund a custom build.

I've installed 4 AFTECs (3 mine, 1 friend's) and all 4 had to be fitted. As far as I know, AFTEC is not meant to be a drop in installation.

I've been using either WSR or FSR primers in 9 major and 38SC with no issues.
