Oh no. You two bringing the donkey talk to this forum too? Ha ha. Welcome. Good technical stuff here. Saw your match vids of statesvillle on Carolina forum. Weak hand stuff. Wish I could have made that match but had to be out of town. How did you qualify?
-
My vote is which ever pump is easier for you to manipulate and feel most comfortable. I prefer the 870 more as Mossbergs tend to rattle in my experiences with turkey hunting and the like. Can be had cheap with tons of mods available.

True. A visual or mental movement and aim cues would be more subconscience commitment to memory and able to do the stage better as well I would imagine. Just guessing as never done a major match. Only local 5 stage club matches at this point.

What a great write up for a technical person as myself. This really helps my stage breakdown. Thanks for sharing. Question, when you walk the major stages the day before so you take notes to rehearse the night before. Or just engrain a mental run and call it good? Thanks again for sharing.

Well respected smith program in the Carolina's from what I know. Seem to put out quality students. Dead center of the state so easy access to Mtns and beach with low cost of living in Troy.

You will like that saw. Just take your time on set up and be careful on using in the beginning. It is way stronger than the delta contractor saw and kickback can be strong. I once saw a 3" piece of plywood go ten feet back and pierce the steel door from operator error.

Yeah getting that percentage, or any really, is unacceptable. Total operator error in several possible areas to get a squib. Don't blame it on the machine.
Kind of like missing a putt in golf and throwing the putter in the lake. Don't drown the 550 because of your own inability to pay attention and follow the process.

Yeah no problems. You can also put the small rifle in the 40 pistol case too. Works fine with a 1911/2011 in my experience.

Nice bling. Changing the trends in pop culture I see. Equal to the "grille" in fashion.
Will it soften at all and wear at uneven rates though?

I would buy a box of factory ammo and see if it runs in your gun. If it does, load around 1.133 and you'll be able to use your rounds in any .40 you eventually own. I started loading long (1.186) for my Edge and regret doing so because those rounds only run in that one gun. I now load at 1.133 and my Edge runs fine. Hope thus helps.
Good advice. My Eagle and Trojan both run fine with factory ammo and my loads at 1.140" which also runs in my Glock 35. They should run fine with factory ammo. Try some and load accordingly.
+1. I tried long out of the box and then realized factory would work fine. No problems and never worked back. Try WWB first and then see where it goes.

Try the ridgeline. My work vehicle is a ridgeline and it works nice. I am 6'7" and 300# too. It isn't a full size truck but the has mileage and drivability of it is pretty impressive. So far 150,000 miles in three years with no issues other than very routine. The trunk in the back is huge and locks with the doors. Worth a look IMO.

Being the cheap guy I am. I went to a furniture reseller found online. Basically a warehouse that buys furniture when offices upgrade or go out of business. Got a Point of Sale station from like a wireless phone store that is 9' long, on casters and has lockable drawers and cabinets. Removed the glass top and put in a plexiglass top that can hold screws. Plugged in display lights and can see what's inside from above. Sturdy as crap and spent $40. No way you can beat that. Furniture wholesale place definitely works for me.

I will change the springs and get it to the range this weekend. Although I have tried this before with little success, but plan to do more methodical this time. If this doesn't work then I will call Zev and report back. Thanks for all the ideas and responses.

Good points. I need to measure and compare. Any good diagrams to show exactly where to measure would be helpful? It just seems odd that it break after so many rounds though.
-
Platform: glock Gen 4 G34 with approx 500 rounds
Upgrade: Zev Fulcrum fully adjustable trigger (Note: kit is used off of here a few months back but been playing in 2011 world.)
Issue: cycles fine and everything works great until the last round in the magazine. The slide will rack and load the round but won't reset the trigger. Happens no matter how many rounds were in mag and five different mags and always on last round. Operator can slide finger back and gently press trigger forward until you feel the click and the obvious trigger reset. Works fine and slide locks open after manual reset.
So what did I do wrong? I am confused.

That was a great read and analysis of 1911 accuracy and where to spend the money.
-
OK. Suggestions as to whom to send to?
-
good to know. Which phone charge was it, for future reference for mobile charging...

If the Zen of the guarantee helps in the mental prep then perhaps. But if you are comfortable with your basics then it doesn't really matter. To me, the old adage of "look good, feel good, play good" comes to mind. that 1.5" 1911 looks really good to me!
