  1. First congratulations in the little shooter coming. Mine is 20 months old and Iam sitting here in the room as he goes to sleep as I type.

I use a jard trigger in my 3 gun AR and really like it. I did have it tuned too light where i would get a double off the bench sighting in and every now and then when prone in a match. I did adjust it a little heavier and a little more disconnect and every thing is good now. Really like that trigger. I do want to try the 3GS.

O and get done what you want now as far a reloading because once the new shooter arrives. Your going to be pretty tired the first couple months. I wouldnt change it for the world though.

  2. Had the same experience when I started loading .223/.556. My issue ended up being the sizing die was not low enough. I highly encourage you to get a chamber die to check your finished rounds.

  3. I just got mine in from 3 gun stuff. I ordered while they were out of stock and they kept me up to speed as to when they expect them and then to let me know they are on the way. Good service. Also the caddies are sweet, I have some PMT and I like these better already. I see some more in my future

  4. Make sure that the fixed portion of the magazine tube is fully screwed into the receiver. I fould out the hard way that you can loosen it when you are putting on and taking off an extension. I was having shotshells hanging up on the gap that was created between the base of the threads in the receiver and the end of the mag tube.

Thanks, I will check that, but in my case the shells won't even begin to move that follower. The follower is getting stuck, and good. I can work it free with my thumb

and once its free I can work it up and down in the tube, but even then sometimes it

gets stuck about 2" up in the tube. I've never had a problem with this follower or tube.

I had the same thing happen and noticed the end of the spring was jammed between the wall of the tube and the follower. It kept my follower from being able from moving.. might try that. I now put in my spring and then try to turn the follower before i cap off the tube.

  5. Simmons comforpedic here. Friends had a tempurpedic and recommend that but when I went to the mattress store and layed down on all the comforpedic was what fit me. I have slept on a sleep number but it was too warm for me.

The Simmons is suppose to have a better air flow....yada yada. After pretty much deciding what bed I liked my wife went in and ask the sales man what mattress he had at home and it was a comforpedic.

Hate going to hotels. Whatever mattress you decide on if it is good it ruins being on the road.

  6. Congratulations!

Two days before the AR section match my so John was born.. Two months early. He spent 5 weeks in NICU and is doing great. Now 9 months old. I had planned on the AR sections match to be my last one for a while but you know how plans go when the buzzer goes off.

I shot one 3 gun club match back in September and was planning on shooting the AR 3 gun in oct but stunk so bad I got frustrated. So I took a little more time off. I just really shot for the 2nd time 2 weeks ago and while I have a way to go before I get back to where I was I realize that the time off only intensified the skills I need to work on.

You can always shoot another match but can't always have that missed time with your son back. Some people use to say " he won't know when your gone". To which I reply " I know but I will"

I look forward to taking him the the range for the first time down the road

For now it is dryfire, dryfire and other indoor practice that I will work in when the little fella is asleep. If I was not so sleep deprived the first couple of months I might have done it then.

  7. I run a Benelli M2, I have always practiced Weakhand reloads but never seem to get them as smooth as I want to. Meaning that right before the shell goes into the tube it get "hung up" or becomes more difficult. So I have stuck with loading from a side saddle during matches... But

I just recently bought a Benelli supernova and while trying to load weakhand I notice how much easier it really is. I think the difference is when the shell goes over the piece of metal that holds it in the tube.... So is there a modification you do to make the shell going over the holder easier?

  8. Went Sat night to the Sneak peek of "The Kingdom". Great movie, lots of action. The opening scene is graphic with the explosions and the last 30 Min is action packed.

They have a strong cast but no one really dominates on the screen, with exception of Jamie Foxx but he really doesn't get that much more time. (Jamie Foxx, Chris Cooper, Jennifer Gardner, Jeremy Piven, Jason Bateman)

Great story, not going to reveal to much at this time as I don't want to spoil anything.

Also the opening credits gave a timeline of Saudi Arabia, pretty cool and I know I did not know all the detail that they pointed out.

    I recommend

  9. I had ordered one off Henry (vendor in GA) after talking to him after the shot show. Just recieved mine this week. Just in time for our Club 3-gun yesterday. It sure does appear to be a 1x and the dot in the donut is a 1 min. The lumination is not very bright and really can not be seen in half sun. I have to tell you after shooting yesterday I love it.I use to shoot a simmons pro. Farest shots yesterday were 125y (to keep the pace faster for the match) so I need to see how it does at 250 and farther. The donut is great for close up shots that can be taken faster.at 125yrds I had no problem taking down 6" steel (except my breathing, got to remember to breath). I think it is a great scope and would be perfect if the lumination was there but you don't need it. Good clarity, good field of view, fast scope close up and at longer distances the 1min dot is great.

Henry did say that Millett had such an overwelming response for the shot shot that they are running behind filing orders.

    "DESIGNATED MARKSMAN SCOPE

DMS-1 is a concept that is long overdue. This compact, fast CQB to mid range scope takes the best of scope-type optics and red dot reflex sights and puts it all together. A ³dot in a donut² is the best way to describe the DMS reticle. At close ranges, just put the donut on the target and pull the trigger. At longer ranges, you have the 1MOA dot in the center of the donut to give you superior accuracy. As all the measurements are standard MOA, you can use the reticle for range finding and hold over. True 1X for both eyes open for close and quick sighting, and 4X for accuracy at the longer ranges. Works equally well on tactical weapons or big game rifles. Great for hunting dangerous game as you have the ability to make that quick shot and hit your target while the pressure is on. Fully multi-coated lenses and rugged one-piece tube. Try the DMS and you will see the advantage.

  10. I knew a little about the actual history. But Man was it a great Movie! First one to live up to the hype in a long time. I got lucky and left work a little early to see the 4:30 show. Only show that was not sold out for the weekend (which is a pretty big deal here). Can't wait until a directors cut comes out. Very well done and worth the wait to see.

  11. I know that in alot of the areas they are opening up new stores that sometimes the city will not allow them to sell guns due to being close to a school. With as many WM that there are I would bet a lot of stores are located around Schools.
