  1. Hi,

thank you for great tip how to improve shooting skills. I would like to ask you (and all other here) at tips how to work with trigger when I have DA/SA pistol. First shot DA thas is right I think, but how next? Simulate SA job without brace of trigger spring or how?

    Thank you for help.

I will order the book from andersonshooting.com as soon as possible. Do you think that both are usefel for adequate dry fire practise or 1st is enought. I am from Europe, so the way this book is so long...:)

  2. R/T Perfomance: Thank you for link but I cannot use this base pad because I want use this gun for IPSC Production and there are many restrictions on guns. The Gold USPSA Production :).

RIIID: so we have only importer of XD which are made in same factory as HS as.

About magazines, I hear that Vector magazines are 18 rounds with same dimensions as has XD magazine but a little modifide on front of magazine. Do you have more informations about this?

  3. Hi all,

I would like to ask you here (like on ipsc.org :)) what is your experience with this gun for IPSC Production matches.

What about reliability, accuracy, lifetime ect...thank for all helpful answers.

When I tested this gun it fitted to my hands in one time and shooting was nice...but in compare with Glock about reliability, lifetime...I have not any experience. Thank you for help.

    BR,

    Luk

  4. Yes the silver, older style trigger can be had in the SP-01 to make the reach a little longer. Thats what I do on mine. If someone needs the old style trigger in, I can make that happen when ordering the gun.

Oh, and the difference is about 3/16". Sounds like its not much, but it is quite a bit.

Hi Matthew, please what is the most important when I want have so nice smooth trigger job on my SP01. Does is hammer so important?

    Thanks Lukipsc

  5. I know but look that Angus offering fiber optic size, it is on the same princip but made from original front sight.

So what do you think? Have you got contact for Vincent Pinto?

You know .. my first reaction was to say you could but after re-reading the IPSC rules I dont know. I think its clear that they are ok in USPSA, but the IPSC rules are a bit murky:

20.2 allows for after market sights of the same type as OFM.

    but

19.3 says sights may be trimmed, adjusted or sight blacked.

One reading of it would be that you can only trim, adjust, and black the OFM sights and if you want something else you need to buy and aftermarket one. This sounds a bit odd, but there is a precendent for it with the magazine ruling which says you can buy aftermarket magazines and change their springs if you need to, but that you can not use aftermarket springs in your OFM magazines.

However another reading could be that, that once you took the sight off, and modified it A LOT you manufactured a aftermarket sight of a type offered by the OFM and thus you should be ok.

You should proabably send a letter to the IPSC rules folks and see what they say.

I was curious: How many Koruna is an STI going for these days?

PS: My ltd. setup: STI Slide/Schuemann bull barrel on a Para frame. 12# recoil spring. Plated 180 gr bullet over 4.9 gr N320.

Hi Chuck, or if you want I can write in Czech :) It is very nice kick to read here in my origin language :).

So now my STI Edge (it was build from origin parts here from www.vmcustom.cz) if was for 55.000,- Kc (2300 dollars) and othere Edges from HPS (it is one dealer in Germany) from them it is for 70.000,- Kc.

    Where diy you learn Czech?

    Well,

I must confess I never did learn much czech (jedna pivo, prosim?). I was working a project with a Czech company in Odelena Voda in 1991-1995. I lived there for about 4 months in 1992 and visited almost every other month for that whole time period. I also spent a bit of time in Malacky in what was then Czechoslovakia, now Slovakia. I started to learn (I though I should since my last name is Strelecky!) but all the guys I worked with wanted to practice their English so that was what we used. They told me "why learn Czech? Only 4 million people speak it where there are billions that speak English.

Sounds like you got a pretty good deal on a custom STI!

    Later,

    Chuck

Yea :) you know right phrase, which is very often use in pub (one beer please). So you have to know, we are postcomunist country and in this time everybody here who know English is more interesting for employers. It is to one think why I am here on this forum, because I need practise my English with origin speakers and because I want to know some about 1911s and STIs :) too.

I think it si best price here, only a few shooters here uses STI, maybe 10 in Limited and 2 in Open if I know and in this season I visited early all matches Level II - Level III, but I have my STI only one month, so I have to find more experience here, on the range I can make experince and praktice for my hand.

And yet to English...when my parents were in basic or high school they had to learned Russia but in the same time all Russia children or teens learned English. That is why more Russians live in USA, more than Czech. Sorry for my mistakes in English but I went out from school before 2 years and in bussines I have not enought change to practise it :). STRELECKY, your surname is Marksman?

    Here is my STI
