Thanks, I will definitely give them a call. I would hate to get a dead trigger during a match I paid to enter!

Heathen, if you look on the label on the end of your box to the right of your searial number below the product number you will find a number like 9068 this number is the manufactur date,to break it down the first number or two is the year with the last three being the day of the year.So with 9068 it would be 2009 on the 68th day(March 8th 2009.)
Another one I have handy is 0361 or 2010 on the 361st day (December 27,2010.)
I hope this helps. Good Luck.
Oh, there it is - thanks. It was put together some time in July 2010. Does anyone happen to know when the update occurred?

Hmm, I didn't get any fired cases and it came in a Black Smith and Wesson box without any dates on it. All I know is that I purchased it from a supplier in Canada a little over a year ago.

Hello again,
I tried all the possible permutations I could think of but couldn't find an existing topic on this.
During the last couple of range sessions with my M&P Pro I have encountered multiple failures to fire where after firing a round and chambering the next the gun fails to reset the firing pin and trigger.
I've ruled out light primer strikes and have completely released the trigger between shots allowing the trigger to return all the way.
I did a general search on the web and some people claim this is a manufacturers defect. The M&P is ~5000 rds old.
Does anyone have any idea of what might be going on or a good source for info?

I hope I've put this in the right place. I did a search but unfortunately came up with nothing.
I'm planning on shooting my M&P Pro in IPSC Production but my trigger pull is consistently 4.5 lbs or less (after a good cleaning I managed to get it down to ~4).
Is this a common problem? Does Smith and Wesson make heavier springs? I understand there are APEX springs but I'm under the impression that they aren't legal for Production.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks for all your input. I took some test loads to the range and it worked like a charm, no hang-fires, bulging primers or crazy muzzle flashes. I was actually quite pleased with it.

I have the exact same problem with my M&P 10 round mags. I charged the mags and left them for a week just like Unregistered suggests. It took quite a while for them to get loosened up.

Thanks, I just wanted to make sure so I don't do something dumb.

I'm pretty new to reloading and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice. I went to buy a lb of Titegroup but unfortunately they were out. I was in a rush so I panicked and grabbed Blue Dot.
When I got home I searched Blue Dot and 9mm and found a couple of posts telling me that Blue Dot isn't ideal for 9mm. I'm not really sure what that means. Does it mean don't use it at all? Can I still get reasonable practice ammo out of it? I'm not trying to make power factors, just getting ready to take the black badge with an M&P Pro.
Also, I would be using it with 147gr plated bullets.
I hope this is in the right place, I apologize if its not
Thanks for your help

Same here, its funny how a $25 part makes an M&P purchase so tempting.
