  1. I have a G-17 SJC Major with a STS C-more here is info on waterproof:

The STS is C-MORE Systems smallest reflex sight. Just like our competition sights, the STS head up display provides an unobstructed sight picture in which the red dot hovers on the sight line, illuminating the point of impact on the target, creating the fastest target acquisition in existence, and unlimited eye relief. Similarly it uses a beam-splitter lens made of glass; hard coated for maximum scratch resistance, and light transmission, while the parallax free design enables targets to be acquired without the need to center he dot in the lens.

The STS uses a CR2032, lithium battery that is contained within a removable battery tray which permits battery replacement without dismounting the sight; this eliminates the need for re-zeroing when replacing a battery.

***** The battery tray is O-ring sealed, and is part of the waterproofing that goes into every STS. A 3 position switch provides automatic intensity adjustment; a high brightness setting; and an off position.

***** Water Resistant to 1 meter

  2. loaded my first 500 9mm using 115grn MG's and Tite Group powder. I shoot a couple hundred of them and my gun was so dirty I did not even want to touch it. Is this typical?? Is there a better powder choice?

Paul, I use 4.2g to 4.6 of Titegroup with WSP primers and Berry plated DS 115g RN, the dirty part usually just wipe off with rag, this is in two G34's one production set up the other for Open/minor. What amount of TG are you loading, and are you talking about the browning of muzzle end and feed ramp?

  3. I have a large supply of small pistol magnum primers, I am shooting 4.4gr of titegroup over 180 black bullet intl. and I am using just reg pistol primers. I was thinking of using the magnum primers that I have alot of.

    Question:

I figure if I use them I will gain a little in velocity using the magnum primers, but am I pushing the edge of a kaboom with this setup. I am loading long. I am just wondering if I need to sell these or keep them and use them, and forget about it. I know some people use rifle primers, so I am wondering if there is that much of a difference in the two(mag vs rifle). I guess what I am worried about is the pressure spike.

any experiences or info would be grateful?

    -Sean

I have used magnum primers WSP with titegroup at 4.3 with 180 black in a 40S&W G22 Glock with Firedragon barrel & KKM, the FPS increase was an average of 12fps more, since 2000. the advantage was it greatly reduced the browning of the muzzle and fiber optic the fps increase was the same from 4.3g to 4.6g.

  4. BOZ1911, I was going to ambush  you on match day, but have decided you needed to shake in your big 17size boots. Think my OPEN/Minor 9mm is puffy, wait to you see my GLOCK Production load in my stock G34. PF 125.167 down hill on a windy day! I have checked the weather for match date and yes there will be enough wind for me to take down the steel. :P

FYI I am ONLY C Class Production :sight:

  5. In answer to your question, I do not know,

Here is a system by SJC that is very easy ,

If I did not already have a SJC Open GLock, this is the system I would use.

Same pistol in a few minutes could be Open or Limited in USPSA.

I am talking about SJC Convertable Compensator Mount

  6. I have a G-34 that I use a glock barrel that has been magna-ported, it does work and makes a difference.

With Atanta Arms 115 at 132pf or the Georgia Arms 115 at 130-132pf works ok.

I shoot USPSA Open/minor and Steel Match with it, I prefer my load of 115gn at 136PF, is flat and very accurate.

People that do not think it made a difference , :surprise: I drop in a regular barrel and let them shoot it, and then my ported barrel, it shoots nice and flat, true it is not as good as a comp, and I am not shooting major, it does what I like.

SJC built the this set up for me , with a 1lb 10oz trigger, I am spoiled.

  7. Is always a task, do I or not, and one that I make daily. Here is a basic reference/ opinions for Georgia

    No Signage Laws

A "No Firearms" sign on a private business does not mean anything. If your firearm is noticed, they simply ask you to leave. If the police arrive and you still refuse to leave you can be charged with criminal trespass. You keep your permit even if convicted.

However, some "public gatherings" (and any of the above areas off-limits) such as a county hospital or the post office may have signs posted to inform you they are off-limits. You probably will lose your permit for several years if convicted.

So, just because you see a sign does not mean it is or isn't off-limits and just because you don't see a sign does not mean it is or isn't off-limits.

found under: Places Not Off Limits to firearms and Places Off Limits to firearms

So now I am really Knee Deep in IT :surprise:

  8. SJC built up my G34 for me, I have been very pleased with it. Have been shooting it for over 4 months. I am shooting Open/Minor, have a magnaported glock barrel. IS a very fun gun to shoot :D , now that I have the right ammo setup, is flat and comfortable to shoot. SJC Magwell is get, besides the get reloads it also locks up my grip. John and Steave are great at customer service. :)

  9. I am shooting an Open G34 setup with a magna-ported barrel,

WCWB is ok , good price for pratice, accuracy is not as good as rds listed below.

This is what I shoot for USPSA and Steel Matchs

Atlanta Arms Ammo 9mm 115grn is very good/accuracy 130PF for my setup

Atlanta Arms Ammo 9mm 147grn Subsonic very soft/good accuracy 125PF

    Georgian Arms Ammo 9mm 115grn {Canned Heat bulk 500rds} 131PF

  10. I have found that with my Tight Group loads, B)

    38 spl w/158 plated 780fps used in a 686S&W-6" magported

    40S&W w/180 precision 900fps G-22 match barrel

that using WSPM primers, I average about 10-15 fps increase

the most benefit is that there is less smoke and my barrel/pistol are cleaner than when using WSP primers.

I do drop out my G-22 barrel after every match and run a patch wet w/lube/cleaner, to keep it shiny and pretty :) the same for the 686S&W. No brush, just patch.

  11. I use CCI Blazer 22cal-40gr , this bullet runs great in both of my MK2's that daughter, son shoot. My 22/45 also loves this bullet  , is soft shooting compared to other mfg.

    Georgia-Arms.com

sell in box of 5,000, cost $117.75 walk out price.
