  1. I don't understand why some are getting the DVC that ordered a month later than us that ordered a month earlier!! I'm calling BS!! But congrats Zmego atleast someone has one....

My guess is STI is going with a shotgun approach at least with the first batch i.e. they're sending one gun out to every dealer that ordered any. So your best chance to get one is to be first on the list at any dealer. Just guessing tho.

Ordered mine mid March and got it late April. Got the one and so far only (as far as I know) dvc my dealer received.

  2. I have been patiently waiting since Jan. 30th for the call that came today. My limited 40 is at Dawsons and will be shipping out Tuesday. They do exist and are being shipped. I am more than a little excited. Before anyone asks, I will post a review as soon as I get some trigger time on it.

When you get it check the grip screws. The 2 main screws on mine and another guys DVC were loose and we both lost the small front screw before we noticed. Also on mine the overtravel screw was turned in too far causing reset problems

  3. I got some .40 180gr long major suggested in this thread and chrono'd them. These were their reman/practice ammo. Gun used for chrono was a STI DVC.

    10 shot average FPS:

    Delta Precision: 996

    Atlanta Arms: 955

    Automatic Accuracy: 950

Still waiting on UniversalAmmo. They don't have any practice ammo in stock and are waiting for more powder

  4. I looked and Optics Planet seems to have the lowest costs. Does anyone have a better resource for getting the ELS components?

    Thanks

    Tom

If you didn't know already, you can get a Safariland 50% off discount card when you renew your USPSA or IDPA membership.

  5. ELS works great for me.. One belt.. multiple divisions. I have the belt set up so that I can swap mag pouches between open/limited setup to production.. The ELS plates are also set so that I can use shotgun caddies as well for three gun.. My 014 holster is even set on an ELS fork, so I can swap it to my Ghost stinger which is obviously set on an ELS fork as well. All in all, one belt for all types of competition! Love it!

How did you mount the 014 to the ELS fork? The holes don't quite line up.

    Thanks,

    Jemy

  6. You have to be a member of a club to be a NWS member. I sent in my membership application without a club affiliation listed and my check was never cashed nor did I ever hear anything back.

I joined last year with out a club affiliation and also never heard anything back. But I was listed in the series results so I guess I'm in. Dont recall if they cashed my check.

  7. I'm also using a non Gen 4 specific Black Ice with my Gen 4 G34. Got both 2 weeks ago and seems to work fine. After seeing this thread I checked the extended part of the slide where the recoil rod comes out and it's already showing quite a bit of holster wear. Looks like there's just enough room in the Black Ice to acommodate the larger part of the Gen 4 slide but it's rubbing.

i think its because the portion under the barrel (excuse my ignorance and lack of terminology) is larger.

I very well could be wrong

edit: sorry i couldn't find a better picture. but i think this will work
