  1. i had the pleasure of shooting with stephen at this match. what a great kid and great shooter. when he found out he went minor he didn't really get upset he just decided to shoot better points and make the best out of the situation (great attitude). his father is his coach and a former phillipino champion. i am glad i got to meet them both.

  2. i have been seeing everyone here locally price gouging

so here i am on the bandwagon

there are roughly 10000 primers only fired once

    only $75 a thousand :surprise:

  3. Thanks again for everyone for putting on the match and also for Squad 14 for putting up with me, (You guys rock and its always fun having a guy on your squad who actually likes going first)

Nick congratulations on your win, you are the best buddy!! As always the most colorful hair or any open GM (only you can get away with rocking the muffin top fade)

don't be jealous i know you like the hair

it just looks weird cause i don't wear a hat

  4. first of all welcome to the forum!

you will find great info here but what you cannot find is the way the gun feels to you

what i recommend to you is to go to your local gun shop and get a feel for the gun and see how each one feels in your hand

another thing is to go to your local match and ask around see what they say they might even let you try a few rounds there ( just remember to take everything with a grain of salt, everybody has something to say that doesn't make them right)

but to make the best judgement you have to shoot a similar model before you buy it if possible

i have experience with each of the guns you mentioned except the bersa

i personally have owned comparable versions of each gun you mentioned and i like the sp01 best

but like i mentioned its mostly personal prefference for you

good luck and hope to see you at the range

if you are anything like all of us once you try it you'll love it

  5. i have been working on the movement between the boxes

it's one of those things that i can almost get but it's a fleeting feeling

before i start i put more weight on my weak side leg almost leaning to the left

and as i engage the second plate my right (strong) foot hits the ground

and this is where i loose time

it seems like almost a hop step out of the box

my right leg gets out quick then one cross step with my left

then another step with my right which lands in the about a foot inside the box

setting up as my left foot gently sets in the box

i don't know if this is the right way or even if there is a right way

but it seems to be working for me

i have gotten the stage as low as 3.46 in practice but that was after shooting about a thousand rounds on it.

WOW!! 3.46 seconds!! you should be in the super squad! you must be real good.

no man I'm just really lucky

  6. this stage is where i had an epiphany

i was told that each stage had it's own sound

this stage is where that hit me like a brick

the way i felt more confident shooting it was

    1,2,4, pause 3,s

but the other way that i have tried is

    1,2, pause 4,3,s

now when i say pause i don't mean i sit there for an hour

i mean getting your bearings before you shoot the next plate which could be hardly noticeable

but you can definitely hear the difference

    i hope that makes sense

  7. this stage kills me every time

i can hit the 1,2,3,4 plate pretty fast it's that last little f#$@#$ that gets me every time

i have so much trouble switching gears from as fast as i can to accurate enough

i'm going to shoot it this weekend and im going to try brian's way of 2,1,3,4,s

    that seems interesting

  9. I shot this match for the first time last year

and i fell in love with it can't wait to get back this year

So here it is. What are your fastest single runs on each stage?

smoke and hope, speed option, outer limits,etc...

I know the average is what matters but i am curious to what people are doing in practice.

  10. mike,

this is a cool idea and i am anxious to try the skillstest

unfortunately i use a Mac computer and cannot open the file from the forum or your website could you post

    a mac friendly version

  11. i have both and i have not had a problem with the click switch and thats the one i like

they are both good but the problem i have run into with the standard switch is that it gets loose after a while

and if it gets too loose it can back off (or dimm out) while shooting a stage

the click seems to have a more positive engagement

i guess it just comes down to personal preference they both work good the click just feels more solid
