I upgraded to win 10 seems pretty good so far. But I still run Linux mint 90% of the time.

Titewad.. where are you! I made the mistake of finding a couple pounds of this @ the BassPro in Leeds, AL and fell in love with it for .45. Now I can't find it anywhere! I'm not low on powder, I have other options but this has been my unicorn.

All the internet research says ETR-7 is the same as Maxam csb-1. Uses the same load data as Universal. Do your own research!

Thanks for the invite! I try to get to Creekside (Taylorsville) for their steel matches but have managed to miss all of the ones this year due to weather or grandkids birthday events! I have shot the Glock-GSSF match at Griffin a few years ago. I live in Marietta but grew up on the Southside in Forest Park. A friend is a member @ Griffin GC.

I don't get on here much but it is quite sad to read about the issues with the Steel Challenge matches. I joined USPSA last year just so I could start finding out about local and regional Steel matches and this sucks!
I'm 60 and not interested in shooting USPSA, way too much running around, kneeling, backflips and somersaults for me! (Sarcasm)
I don't plan to renew USPSA membership unless they make an effort to promote SC matches.

I just clicked on "new content" and nothing was showing up, might be related.

Just thought I would add some additional data to this post. I don't have a chrono so I paid strict attention to my loading based on Hodgdon website data and listings here and elsewhere. Loaded a 200grn LRN at 3.8., 4.0 and 4.2 of titewad. OAL I settled on was 1.24 which is right at the bullet shoulder. 10 rounds of each load. Shot 5 in my S&W 1911 and 5 in my G21 Gen 4 with LW barrel. All were dead on accurate at 10' ft, they all cycled fine in both guns (stock springs) and recoil was soft!
I may have found my new favorite powder for the .45! I think I'm going to settle on 4.0 and be good with that!

I have been searching the web for comparisons and as best I can tell (YMMV!) ETR-7 seems to be closer to Universal than Titegroup. But it is hard to tell without some exact same bullet comparisons. It will be a few weeks before I can test some loads.

I found about 6 grains worked well, functioned the gun and shot accurately and soft with a 200 SWC. You might want to start at 5.8 and work up.
Thanks for the info!

Just received my 8# today and I'm looking for .45 ACP info. I only shoot 200grn lead or 200grn Hi-Tek (Bayou) bullets, anyone have any information that might be helpful or just stick to Titegroup lead loads as a starting point? Not trying to make major PF!
Thanks.

Beven Grams of Grams Engineering quoted me reasonable prices and quick turn around not too long ago. Or just buy a reamer and do it yourself.
This. I sent my barrel to Grams on a Saturday had it back by the next Thursday. http://www.gramsengineering.com/

I know this does not exactly match your request. I have only loaded 115grn moly bullet from Precision with 5.6 grn Unique. works fine in all of my 9mm's loaded to an OAL of 1.12. I have run this in my Glocks and my Canik 55 (CZ 75 clone) without any issues other than a little smokey!
So I would think a heavier bullet 125grn would be somewhere in the 4.5 grn of Unique range.
starting point for 700X @130 PF
in 9mm/38 Caliber

I know this is an old topic, but 700x I have loaded has yellow dots in it, just like Red Dot!
Sorry just saw where this was pointed out!
