  1. The best part about my beretta so far is that you can find military surplus stuff for it. I decided I wanted to start uspsa and I only have 2 magazines which is not enough. I went to the local gun shop and spend $45 on a new magazine. A week later I go to a gun show and theres a guy selling US made beretta mags for $6 a pop!!! So hell I buy 3 more. That, and it has always ran super smooth on Blazer $12 box ammo which is the cheapest I can find anywhere. I just genuinely enjoy shooting it too.

  2. Please feel free to post your pictures. All the shooters you mentioned have shot this match before. We have always invited the news media to this match (newspapers, local television stations, etc) because positive images of action shooting sports are always a good thing and it is understood when you come to this match that your picture may appear in print or video.

Okay here they come. I am proud of the shots as I am sure they would love to see them too. The pics look better when you enlarge them.

I almost caught some of that beautiful flame here but it looks like I just missed it. The slide is on the way back forward. I still couldn't catch it with my camera shooting like 3 shots a second. Its such a rediculously small window of time.

  3. It was a great match. I went with a friend but sadly didn't shoot because things were full. I took a bunch of pictures though. I was the nerd walking around with the camera! haha I migh post a few up if anyone would be interested.

I like the photos. Do you have any more?

I have a bunch more but I'm kinda worried about getting permission from a few folks to post. All of the good ones I have are individual shots. I mean Im kinda new to the local scene and I dont want anyone getting pissed off at me even though I'm sure they wouldnt mind its just the principal of asking. I have some great ones of Jeff, Ian, Tracy, and Jim Joyce in our squad all shooting open.

  4. Most of all hand and finger strength is forearm muscles. I have 2 grip spring loaded devices that I work out my actual grip but mostly focus on forearm workouts. ^This^ is one of the best forearm workouts I have ever done. I would attach 5 and 10lb. free weights and run the rope through the middle, not dumbbells.

    A couple tools I use:

I also do this workout when I am at a gym or weight room. I let the weight go all the way to the tips of my fingers and start rolling up my fingers to my hand, then pull my hand up and finally my wrist:

  5. What part of our great state are you located in? Have you taken the plunge and joined the USPSA?

Welcome to the site from another North Carolinian. What part of the state are you from?

I live just outside Elkin, NC. North western part of the state off I77.

I would have already joined the USPSA but the past couple weeks I have been pressed for cash. Between ammo and paying off college. But I plan on joining within the next month at the latest. It really stinks because I want the match I just shot to count as a qualifier. I was told that the match would count up until 10 days after if I could join by then.

  6. Hey guys. My names Andrew. I have discovered in the past couple months through a friend the world of competitive shooting. After watching my friend compete at a match, I knew that it was something I had to be a part of. This past weekend I shot my first USPSA match with him and I cant get enough. I am competing with a Beretta 92F shooting production. I literally had the time of my life. I was told that this site was the place to go for any and everything I would ever need to know. So here I am to learn, improve my skills as a marksman, and socialize with many great shooters who all share the same passion.
