  1. So I did the cut-out like the pictures show to clear for the Carver mount but I cant get the glock to clear the holster smoothly. The gun still comes out fine without the mount installed but when I put it back on it still doesnt want to come out. There is no part of the mount that contacts the holster.

I just feel sick that I bugger up that holster and it doesn't work now with the carver mount attached.

    Any ideas??

  2. Guess who built the benelli at your store??

Benny...I figured it was either you, Taran or Salient...Benelli reps says its "custom" shop. I need to figure out which distributer had it. It looks like they are "allocating" the first ones. We ordered 4 for our shop.

  3. I was the first one to fondle it at the shop. I can't tell you about any internal work vs. stuff done by Benny or Salient. I do know that it has the carrier work done on it and the loading area was beveled and relieved. The magazine spring seems really stiff but its new and it has the 3 shot plug in it. The bolt is stock and not lightened.

A certain famous shooter says that he has his own version of the gun available through him.

It came from the benelli custom shop address..

  4. I have a Dillion set up for small primers. The 38special shellplate is smooth through indexing but when I switch over to 40sw it "binds" up frequently and is not as smooth moving from station to station. I have to apply a lot more force to index.

The shellplate looks free of any burrs, I tried loosening the center screw but it only helps some of the time. I have also tried applying a little oil between the plate and the press. All this doesn't seem to help.

    Anything else I should try????

  5. I thinking of running an open glock and buying a mount from a fellow member.

How easy or difficult is it to moun on to your frame?

I currently have a G24 for limited that I was thinking of switching the upper for the open upper and the scope/mount.

I hate to see a 3rd gen G24 get split up but its harder for me to get on track with my sights.

    any thoughts....?

  6. Had a chance to visit with my buddy Joe Serafini for his viewing party in Bourbonnais, IL

BBW had about 250+ people there to see him. It was great to see all the kids that he is inspiring!

We met on the plane going to the audition in LA and hung out a lot at the bars on Hermosa Beach.

Compared our notes on the flight back where he thought that he didn't have a chance making the show.

Good for Joe..the show is opening doors for him.

  7. Remember guys...there is a lot of editing in making this show and how they portray each contestant.

In just the short time I spent in LA with these guys during the audition process..I can tell you that each and everyone is a class act.

Yes...George is a little cocky...but he can back it up in his shooting skills. His stories about Iraq and Afstan would make any american proud of him.

Plus TV doesn't so justice to his size...the guy is built like a tank.

Jay Lim was given a tough job at the get go. But when it came time to perform, he did. He hit 2 balls in the challenge. Chris and Maggie were blanked. Jay bought his first pistol LAST YEAR. Natural ability I guess. Not to take anything away from Chris and Maggie and their accomplishments.

  8. Chris, your going to be shooting Polo mostly, so run what you got for now and play with everybodies stuff at the range. You are more than welcome to use my mossy for the shotgun stages to see if you like it, and I have a red dot and a scoped AR that you can use on the rifle stages to see what you like. A couple of our group shoot the major 3gun matches and would gladly let you run their rifle/shotgun to check it. Don't open the check book until you know what you want and have played with it.

I'll be shooting some of those matches at POLO. Working on the AR now..got a variety of shotguns to choose from. I feel that I am actually faster loading off the belt with my Winchester 97 from my Cowboy Action Shooting background.
