  1. They released a new YouTube video of how it functions. Pretty ingenious design.

    As fast as a Lee APP. 
    No cost information, but I can imagine it would cost 2 or more times more than the Lee APP.

  2. S1050 with Ponsness Warren 800 rpm auto drive(old school) 
    I was having a problem with 223 case not feeding onto the shellplate.
    Seems the case was tipping as it was feeding into the shell plate.
    For a fix, I used some foam weather stripping tape attached to the case plunger.

  3. Hey FART owners,

    Anyone else have any problems with the plastic fan popping of the motor shaft?

    Did you have a way to secure the fan? Thinking to supergluing it for now.

    Backstory:

    Mine stopped working one day, after checking the power connection, and flipping the unit over. Heard a clunk,
    the plastic fan was laying loose in the base.  Removed the 4 screws where the black rubber feet are attached to the base.

    There is no index on the shaft. So the fan just slides onto the motor shaft. There is a clamping spring on the fan to secure it to the shaft.

    Mine was build 3/2014. One of the first ones.

    Update: purchased from Lowe’s, Blaster dry lube with Teflon. Sprayed onto the bowl and let dry. Then used a cloth to wipe off the excess.

    Happy to say, the primers load into the primer trough fairly consistently. Also I didn’t tighten the screws to the bowl too tightly.

    For the primer trough I use a Target branded furniture spray polish and it did slicken the surface greatly.

    Although at times, I’m having as many as four primers that stop before they drop into the tube.

    My next try is to scrape the trough, as mentioned earlier.

  5. I ended up with Bissell home canister vacuum that had an adjustment for the suction power.

    Even on the lowest setting it worked really well, and was very quiet compared to a shop vac.

    Too bad they were discontinued, find one with a an adjustable power as they are great.

  6. Areas where I have the klunking/sticking on my 1050's on the upstroke.

    1. The sizing die, drawing out without some type of case lube is more noticeable. Also if the shell plate is not tightened down.

    2. The swage back up/expander will stick more if you clean the cases in wet media. It make the case stick to the expander.

    Seems the carbon build up on the inside of the case acts as a dry lubricant. You get the same feeling with brand new cases.

    Lubing the inside of the cases and or backing out of the expander may help.

    3. The Mr. bulletfeeder powder funnel does the same as above.

    4. Crimping die, over crimping makes the same sound and feeling. Try less crimping.

    As always YMMV.

  7. Ok I've found a number of people that say they are using 4.8gr of Winchester WST for a 115gr 9mm

    My question is how do I figure out which pro 1000 disk I need to use for this charge I can't find it listed anywhere

    I sure hope you have a scale. You can't rely on the chart for accuracy. Its just a guide.

    Yes, it take time to measure(weigh) each hole of the disk, better safe than sorry.

    First set up your 1050 so it works manually with the handle.
    Swap to the PW, loosen the clutch so you can turn the PW handle manually.
    Check to see if you are at full stroke, is the sizing die touching the shell plate?(no case inserted)
    Rotate the crank 180, is the press close to hitting the stop?

    Don't adjust the dies, because you set it up manually already.
    The hard part, try 1/2 a turn at a time. Check function.
    If the die is not touching the die at full stroke, adjust the front threaded in or out till the case just touches the shell plate.
    Rotate the crank 180 and adjust the rear thread in or out till you get close to the stop.
    1/2 a turn at a time. Check function.
    If the throw is too short, make an adjustment to the bolt on the center crank.

    When its set up correctly, the press should cycle smoothly.
    It a real challenge, once its set, never have to do it again
