  1. Why can't buy one from EAA, did you talk to them?? Unless it's just a case of them being currently out of stock?

I bought a 10mm barrel for my Witness Match from them a couple months back, At that time they also offered me a complete

10mm slide assembly too, but I declined and bought the barrel and a couple of mags only to convert my 40.

    Good Luck

EAA has no barrels and has no idea when they will.

  2. In my Match .40, I'm shooting 173 PF. The 10.75 lbs has the best front sight bounce for me.

Ah! Now I get it. I don't think in those terms so it made no sense to me. Though I shoot plates, it is very casual and my only interest for my handguns outside of that is how hard they slap the other guy and how quickly I can find my brass and get the hell out of there before his pals show up.

  3. I've shot both. The Match is smaller. I'm not sure about the while caliber switching thing. I've never tried it. As to running 40s in a 10mm mag. Sure can. Most of us use 10mm mags and load long. I've run factory 40 in a 10 mag and it fed fine with certain bullet profiles.

Please elaborate. What bullet profiles? I also have a Springfield EMP in .40 and don't want to have two classes of .40 OAL loads.

  4. I am intrigued by these guns and drawn to the relative low cost of having multiple calibers in the same weapon.

Specifically, I want to end up with a Witness Match in which I can shoot both .40 S&W and 10mm.

What is the best way to go? Should I buy a .40 gun along with a 10mm barrel, spring and mags, or a 10mm gun along with a .40 barrel, spring and mags? And why might one route be preferable to the other?

If I buy the 10mm gun, can I use its recoil spring with the .40 setup or do I still need a separate spring for the .40? (I know I can't do the same in reverse.)

Is the ejection port on the 10mm slide larger than the one on the 40 slide?

Will the 10mm mags really work without modification with .40 ammo?

I have never handled this weapon before but today did have a chance to handle and fire a CZ 75 Tactical Sport. I liked it but the grip frame is a bit too large in circumference for my hand and the safety slightly too much of a reach. From reading the specs of both weapons it appears the Witness has a grip that is somewhat smaller in circumference. Is this correct? Is the grip of the Witness a bit smaller than the CZ? And is the safety of the Witness a bit easier to reach?

I also plan to eventually buy an upper in .45 ACP but presume that intention will not effect the above choices. Please advise if that presumption is correct.

    TIA
