  1. Ooops thank you - sorry.  That linked post is confusing AF so I see where you are coming from.

OZ9 V2: we have eliminated the standard OZ9 but will still be supporting it indefinitely as we do not intend to quit making gen 3 parts.

The OZ9 V2 is based upon the Compact platform,...  . Two sizes of grips, short and X grip will be offered for both families of pistols

I will reach out to them on the FB group for clarification.

  2. Without a link to what you are reading, I cannot tell you if you are reading that correctly.

All the gun guy sites I follow show nothing on this topic.

SHOT Show is 1/23/24 maybe some can verify or dispute it there.

FWIW, ZEV has been touting their rifle capabilities of late.

  3. Would like to confirm that this

At all times when the gun is at rest with the trigger not actuated, the firing pin block is engaged and actively blocking.

is not the case for the Shadow 2 Orange. SKU 91249 and similar.

    Thanks in advance.

  4. Happy 2022,

Picked up a used OZ9 for $1k at LGS thinking "hey that's an $1,900 MSRP kit" (it came with the Comp V2) then I found this thread.

Opened it up to see the copper goop fully intact, and some carbon to clean up.

Looking forward to see if I have a unit that fires two rounds at once, snaps firing pins, breaks barrel lugs, breaks slide releases, FTEs, or shoot flawlessly.

  5. I get the question, but somehow it makes no difference. My Glock 19 with Trijicon RMR mounted carries no different then with iron sights. The 1"extra height is unnoticeable either at 11:00 or 3:00 to 4:00 body holster position.  Strange, but I love it.

My Mat Del Fatti collection has been my biggest issue with slide mounted optics. Other than that zero downsides.

As an aside, it's almost unfathomable how much a better self defense shooter I am with the slide mounted red dot optic. I pretty much sucked with irons at questionable defensible self defense shooting distances, but no more. Granted I still can't hang with the competitors here, but for [insert self defense scenario here] I am way more confident in placement and safety.
