  1. We got a lot of whining and dropped the 160 yard slug targets.   I tried it and although it wasn't that bad I felt bad for those who don't have the facility to practice it.  I also wasn't sure how easy it would be to call hits consistently.

Sign in each day will be from 8:00 am to 8:30 am.  You'll get you t-shirts and lunch tickets there.  The match briefing will be at 8:45 am.  We hope to be shooting around 9:00 am each morning.  Our ROs are top rate and squads are no larger than 12.  We hope to be done between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm each day.

Food will be available from 10:30 am until 2:00 pm each day and we usually don't take a formal lunch break.  Eat when it's convenient or rotate out of your squad when it works for you.  Lunch is included with your paid entry, and there is more food and drink available for everyone.

Please watch your speed on our driveway.  The speed limit is 10 mph and speeding is a 20 second procedural.

Please do your part to paste targets and set steel.  Be ready to go when it's your turn to shoot.

This is a lost brass match.

You can change your percentage (the 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 and 100% thing) up until first shot on the day you shoot.  Do it at sign in if you like.  However, because of this we will not post scores Saturday evening.  We will post them to practiscore Sunday afternoon.  We always use the word York in our matches, so that makes it easy to search.

Thank you for shooting with us.  We have already set up most of the stages and it looks fun.  We hope you enjoy it.

Let's hope for nice weather, Howard

  2. Registration is now open for the 2018 Invictus Practical Mid-Atlantic Multi-Gun Championship in York PA, on June 9th and 10th.

    This match is unique in the world of major outlaw 3 gun matches in several respects;

    1. You can shoot the whole match in one day.  & stages 210 rounds +/-

    2. Prizes are all checks.  This means you don't have to stick around for a prize table.  If you shoot on Saturday you can go home Saturday night.

    3. The prizes are generous.  We pay out 50% of the gross.  That is a lot of money.  Over $12,000 last year.

    4. We give prizes way down the list in Tac Ops.  By using a modified Lewis class payout scheme if you pick your class correctly and shoot to the best of your ability you have a chance to win hundreds of dollars even if you are way towards the bottom.

    5. We're about as far north and east as any major 3 gun.  Only Topton's team 3 gun is farther north or east, and it's a great match but it's not for individuals.  That's why we draw a lot of shooters from the Mid-Atlantic states, the northeast and Canada on a regular basis.

    6. We keep our squads to a reasonable size and there's not a lot of standing around.  We run our matches much more like USPSA than 3GN or typical outlaw matches.

This 7 stage match will fill up quickly.  Do not hesitate to sign up if you want your choice of days.

Lunch is included for all shooters.  Additional food and drinks are available for purchase. Shooters registered before 4/1/18 get a moisture wicking t-shirt included in their entry fee.

Definitely bring a cart. Not to mention water or what ever you need to keep from dehydrating.

Yes, carts are good.  Golf carts don't work though.  We are a small club and you will be easily be able to walk from stage to stage.

We have a food vendor who will be selling water, Gatorade, soda etc, (in addition to providing lunch and drink that is included in entry fee) and there are 3 or 4 coolers of bottled water placed strategically around the ranges for this match.  I'm not sure when Dan was dehydrating at York but it wasn't this match.

Will Heavy Metal allow semi auto shotguns, and will paper be neutralized with 1 hit from rifle and pistol?

I'm up in the air between Heavy Optics or Tac Limited.

Yes, we will be using a updated version of the FN rules (not yet posted), and semi-auto shotguns are allowed, and 1 hit to neutralize with rifle and pistol in HM.
