at a small range here in Ga. this weekend I think

Tactical rifle match. shots are mainly under 200 yards with most being in the 75-150 neighborhood , No pistol calibers .223 7.62x39 have to put 2 rounds per hit .308 has to only use 1 . The choice will be an M1a or an ar-15 opinions are being solicited

[Benelli vs. FN]

What kind of loads are you shooting? Does either gun have any loads that they dislike? I'm leaning towards the FN but can't make up my mind. I've heard the gas guns can be balky with the bulk pack light loads.

My Benelli is not a fan of the cheap Winchester loads , but does fine with Federals . I wonder how the above test would do with a Browning A-5 and a Saiga thrown in.

I signed up for a Police tactical match in the spring.

What set of rules do they follow at this match? The advice on gear may depend on their rules.

It is NRA police rules mainly duty gear oriented. There are not a lot of these matches around. duty pistol in a duty style retention holster. pump shotgun under 22 inch barrel , no optics carbine. my plan is a model 37 ( I have an 870 as well) glock 17( I have lots of choices here) and an Ar.

I have heard of this place for a while and finally decided to join. I have shot a little Bullseye gssf , even a 3 gun once. along with a few misc matches along the way . I have decided this is the year to improve. I signed up for a Police tactical match in the spring. I need advice about a lot and am willing to read . Thanks for having me.
