  1. Gary,

I’ve shot there a few times and I remember one of the “Classifiers from Hell”, which was shot in an incredibly hard rain. They’ve had a pretty good group of people and one of the more interesting SOs I’ve run into. He’s a big tall red headed guy, usually in a straw sun hat (yes I was surprised that they have summer in Maine too) with a huge booming voice (Clinton Staples?). This is the second expansion the club has done (for IDPA) and I’m really looking forward to checking out the new range this year.

    Grey,

Is there a sign up sheet for the Maine State match yet I didn't see it on the web site?

  2. I'll just sit back, shut-up and hope Giants can win the SB.---Pas44

For me, as a New England Patriots fan, this has been the absolutely least enjoyable season ever. Every week there has been the fear of losing and breaking the streak. If they had lost early in the season I could have just enjoyed the games and be worried now about just losing the SB instead of having the streak ended at 18 games.

  3. It should be a good Super Bowl, perhaps better then the last game of the season, a 38-35 Patriots win in NJ. If any team could feel “good” about having to play the Patriots in this years Super Bowl I would think the Giants would. The Giants showed they could move the ball on the ground (4.3 average) and in the air (237 yards and 4 Touch Downs).

It could be a very bad day for the Patriots. But I hope not. :)

  4. The Chargers game sure made the Patriots look beatable.---bountyhunter

The Patriots are absolutely beatable and Brady looked terrible in the cold and wind. They seem to be a warmer weather team and have not down well on cold windy days this year. Yet they gained almost 350 yards and had 25 first downs while not giving up a touchdown and allowing only 12 points. While that’s not too shabby who knows what would have happened if the Chargers top three players were not hurt.

Are the Patriots beatable? Yes. Will they be beaten? Maybe if they can’t get any pressure on Manning.

    Respectfully,

  5. The Patriots go to 18-0 with a tough win over the 13-6 Chargers in cold and windy Foxborough.

The 13-6 Giants beat the 14-4 Packers at Green Bay in overtime.

  6. Maybe what everyone hates is the 5 SB rings the Cowboys have. No one hase more or has appeared in more Super Bowls than the boys. ---

I think you are correct or maybe its the cheerleaders. I also think that 13 years is long enough for the rest of us to get over the Cowboys past success.

  7. Wow, the Giants and Chargers end the Cowboys and Colts seasons, what a couple of tough football games.

Both the Patriots and Packers beat next weeks opponents by better then 21 points during week 2 of the regular season but both the Chargers and Giants seem to be much improved.

What’s your thought on the Giants-Packers and Patriots-Chargers games?

  8. It looks like an angry and revenge minded Charger team will be visiting New England next weekend after the Chargers defeat the Colts in Indy.

That should be a good game as Chargers seem to be a much better team then they were when met New England in week 2 of this season.

  9. Sorry it took so long for me to reply.

I still maintain the pats have had a easy path this year.---tnek

The Patriots 2007 opponents had a 119-121 record against the rest of the league. That means that their opponents were pretty average against the rest of the league.

The 2007 Patriots played 6 teams that won at least 10 games and three of those games were on the road. They played the best two remaining teams in the league, Dallas and Indy, at their stadiums. That is they played two 13-3 teams on the road.

They arguably played the remaining 1st, 2nd and 4th best teams in the AFC and the 1st, 4th and 6th best teams in the NFC. I don’t think that is an ”easy path.”

And the path gets harder tomorrow evening. :)

    Respectfully,

  10. Yea you are correct the Patriots are a good team.

The Patriots played 6 playoff teams going 6-0:

    San Diego by 24 points

Dallas in Dallas by 21 points

    Washington by 45 points

Indy in Indy by 4 points

    Pittsburg by 21 points

NYG in NJ by 3 points

I think Indy played 7 playoff teams going 4-3, but I’d say it’s a good team too.

With all of Indy’s players back it should be a good game if the Patriots and Indy meet in the playoffs.

  11. C'mon JK, it isn't over until February ---RGS

Yeah I guess should buy some more Tums.

    AikiDale, that was cute!

    The Bucs are frightening.

  12. The New England Patriots become the first team in NFL history to go undefeated in a 16 game season. (16-0) New England also broke it’s own NFL record of 18 straight regular season wins.

This has been the most stressful football season I've ever experienced as a fan. I'm glad it's over.

    Respectfully,

  13. The New England Patriots become the first team in NFL history to open the season with a 15-0 record, besting the 1972 Miami Dolphins*. New England also tied it’s own NFL record of 18 straight regular season wins (or so I'm told).

*Miami only played 14 games during the 1972 season.

  14. do you remember the Heisman winner from Navy before Roger Stauback (sp)....1960....Joe Bellin---tightloop

I've heard him mentioned as from Massachusetts and played a little for the Boston Patriots.

So it's fitting that they have an ASS for a mascot.---Kris Keen

    Why?

  15. Anybody see the Packers-Dallas game last night? I've read that Brett got hurt early and by looking at the box score stats, it didn't look like it was a good game.

  16. The Pats slip by the Eagles with a 4th quarter come from behind win, moving to 11-0, and by the bad vibes I've picked up around here (Foxboro) you'd have thought that the Pats got beat.

Evidently having the other team in the game after the 3rd quarter equates to moral loss. It seem that the fans are starting to believe anything less then a 17-21 point win is unacceptable.

I’m looking forward to the Dallas vs. Green Bay game next week. I’m thinking Dallas in this one.

    Respectfully,

  17. Patriots beat Bills 56-10 to remain only undefeated team at 10-0.

You know at some point the Patriots are going to return to their mortal selves. That is going to be very depressing for we fans. I’m sure that after the way they’ve beaten up on the rest of the league, that there will be serious revenge extracted by more then one coach/team.

Any guesses on what the Pats will do with S.F.’s 1st round draft pick (maybe #5)?

    Respectfully,

    jkelly

  18. Yep - hard to beat a good team twice in one year in the NFL.... ---catfish

Yes you're correct, hard but not impossible (I hope). :)

To win the Super Bowl it’s likely that the Pats would have to beat two very good teams twice in the same season.

  19. The Colt's star reciever was out and Moorehead dropped more than one very critical pass that was thrown perfectly. I can't wait till the AFC championship.---

In last years AFC title game the Pat's star end (Seymour) was out, as was their star safety (Harrison), at least one starting LB was out and they had to start a rookie LB (I think) and there best receiver (who was cut this year) dropped a couple very critical passes, so I feel your pain. The AFC title game scares me.

    Respectfully,

    jkelly

  20. Game is never over when Brady is at the helm! Now there is only 1 undefeated team.---Homie

Yeah, but Brady wasn't at the helm when the Colts had the ball with three minutes left. I couldn't decide if I wanted the Colts to score quickly so that the Pats could have one last chance with the ball or if I wanted the Pats defense to slow/stop the Colts.

I was pretty happy with the results. I hope the Pats don't see this crew of officials again.

    Respectfully,

    jkelly
