  1. If you want the Heinie sights you will need to have the slide milled for the correct dove tail. The CZ Custom SDPs have them. The P01 I have has a Heinie rear sight. I sent the slide to CZ Custom and they milled and refinished it for me.

  2. I would go with Montana Gold 124gr JHP or FMJ, Zero 124gr. FMJ or 125gr JHP for bullets.

VV N320, Titegroup, or Win 231 for powder.

Federal, federal match, or winchester primers.

All the above are in wide use and will serve you well. Lots of load data out there as well. I currently load MG 124FMJ with 4.1gr N320 with Federal match primers using a OAL of 1.10 and couldn't be happier (out of a (CZ SP01 Shadow).

    Lots of other choices.

  3. I believe the short extended basepads from CZ Custom will fit. You'll get a couple of more rounds. Maybe more if you want to play with springs and followers (Grams). Give them a ring I'm sure they'll have something.

Good luck and lets us know what you end up with.

  4. Add another vote for N320. I use MG 124FMJ out of my CZ SP01, 4.2gns makes about 131PF.

By the way, Powder Valley just got a shipment of Vhit in the other day. They are fully stocked on all Vhit powders...including the elusive 4lb N320!

    CZinSC,

What OAL are you running with that load?

    Thanks

  5. I like the Lazerlyte trainer. They have a target with sensors. You don't see where the shots went until you hit the special area to display the hits. I think that helps to keep you from developing the bad habit of looking for your shot.

It aint cheap but I have seen them for around $130 on line. They have a couple of different models of lasers. One looks like a bore sight, the other is a cartridge version that fits in the chamber and is caliber specific.

I think it helped my dry fire practice. Can't do everything with it, but it is useful.

  6. I was shooting a match yesterday and during a stage my slide locked back even though I still had rounds in the magazine. I didn't notice anything unusual about the round when it went off, it knocked the popper down. I also didn't "feel" anything unusual. Any suggestions for things to check out? Here are my details.

New G35 approximately 400 rounds through it. New glock factory 15 round .40 mag. Federal Champion 180gr .40 ammo.

    Thanks for the suggestions...
