  1. you guys in open have to be careful with your 170 mags. USPSA allows (if i remember correctly) 171.5 mm while IPSC is a straight 170 mm. i have three 170 mags but the one made by Ron Howard is not IPSC legal but is fine for USPSA. i have been told that to make 171.5 legal to 170 you have to very carefully shave the lips.

Also for standard (limited) note that the IPSC box is not the same as the USPSA box!

Would it be to much trouble to ask you to post a close up picture of a 170mm mag that has been modified?

  2. Never having shot an IPSC match before I have a question for Open division 170mm mags. I have read the rule book and searched this site but I'm still a little confused about what specifically is legal? Right now I have SVI mags and Dawson basepads. I have some 3mm SV basepads but when I measure them I can't really tell much difference in the length? Any help would be appreciated.

  3. The same thing happened to me last year I even emailed the match director to ask if I had won a plaque and below was his response. After quite some time and several emails, still no plaque. This Stinks!! I won 5th B in Open and I think there were 15 B class shooters if I remember correctly.

(MD), I hate to keep bothering you but it looks like I may have won a Plaque!!!

One of my first one ever!! Will they be mailed out to the winners?

    First reply; That is correct

Second reply; Yes, when I can find some time to do so

  4. Muzzle rise was minimal and it felt very soft to shoot. I'm going to load up 30 more and go shoot them and see what happens in my comp. I would think with a CMJ bullet you might not get much leading in the comp? Those two rounds were shot through a full size Bedell with no holes in the barrel, CCI small pistol primers with mixed headstamp brass. With 6.8 grains the case is maybe 3/16" from the top, just a hair less than with 3N37.I'm going to do some more testing? I have been shooting 3N37 and I like it very much. I just had this N340 setting here that I bought for my limited gun so I thought I would try it? According to the burn rate chart on the VV website it's not as fast burning as HS6?

    Thanks for the response's.

  5. I'm fairly new to 9mm major. Is there any reason that you shouldn't use VV-N340 for 9 major? I just got back from chronoing a couple rounds. I found one old post where someone said they used VV N340,7.2grs, 124-FMG, MG and OAL, 1.165 but no other info. I didn't see any problems with primers etc... However I wanted to check with more experienced shooters before I continue.

  6. Hey everyone it was a great match! However I need someone to check this out to see if I'm looking at it right. I looked up the guy that won B class and as of August he was in A class. What happens now? Or am I just looking at it wrong?
