    Anybody us the Safariland competition speedloader holder holder?

    Any suggestions on carriers for a newbie to ICORE? Is Safariland the way to go? I currently use Comp III loaders for IDPA, but was interested in giving ICORE a try later this month. I'm guessing the Safariland 3-holder is legal and works well enough for ICORE (I know it isn't legal for IDPA). Or would I be better off trying to get some more Ready-Tacs? Any other suggestions? The only caveat is that I would need to be able to get them within the next couple of weeks. Thanks in advance for any advice, and sorry for all the noob questions.

    Hi Folks,

    Please pardon my ignorance, but I'm a new (4 months this week!) revolver shooter and am interested in learning more about this ICORE Postal Match. I have looked over the website information and it appears that I don't have to be a member to participate in this (and would nonmembers be given an official score)? Also, I assume I would be in the "Classic" Division since I currently shoot SSR in IDPA with speedloaders? If I've never shot - or even seen - an ICORE match before, is trying the Postal Match as my first introduction to ICORE a bad idea? If not, how many speedloaders and carriers would I need, and where should they be carried on my belt? Sorry for all the newbie questions (I didn't see these items clearly addressed in the rule book online), but thanks in advance for any advice, suggestions, etc., and if there is any further information I need to know in order to hopefully not make too much of a fool of myself if I try this event, please feel free to let me know! Thanks.

    With all due respect, I enjoy rimfire just as much as you enjoy USPSA. Caswell Ranch is the only club I'm aware of in central North Carolina to even offer these matches, so my question to Dean was merely to see if he knew of any other clubs anywhere within driving distance that might offer them in light of his giving one of his up, leaving us with only one per month.

    Ruger Rimfire matches in central NC?

    Hi all,

    My local range is giving up one of its monthly Ruger Rimfire matches, so I was curious if anyone knew of any other central North Carolina area ranges who might offer these matches. I've checked the TeamRimfire website but wasn't able to find anything. I'd really like to find another club where these are held, since I enjoy them tremendously. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    What a great Revolver crowd there was at the match. It was great to meet Tammy, Tom and Chuck and see Eli and Ron Rhoden again. I guess I missed Mass, but hopefully we'll catch up with him in Tulsa.

    I'm humbled and truly honored to be included in this Revolver crowd! It was a genuine privilege to finally meet Bones, as well as Chuck, Eli and Robert. Of course, it's always a pleasure seeing Ron, John, Mas, Bob, Mark, Ray and Will - and Tom, you know you're my revo buddy! I feel very fortunate to have so many great revolver shooters nearby. You folks are wonderful mentors and outstanding role models for a novice like me. :bow:

    Support Hand Pain?

    Hello fellow revolver shooters,

    I'm a newbie, so please forgive me if this is a dumb question. :blush:

    I recently switched from semi-auto to revolver about a month ago and up until now things have been great with that. I've been shooting roughly one match a week and dry-firing (with dummy rounds) six days per week as well for about 20-30 minutes per session. Two days ago while on a mountain bike ride, I noticed my left hand (I'm right-handed) felt very weak and somewhat painful across the back of the hand from behind the fingers to the wrist. I didn't give it much thought until I started my dry-fire practice last night and noticed that same pain and weakness interfering a lot with my support-hand grip. My question is this: Could this be related to the revolver or my grip, or is it more likely to be something else unrelated to the gun? My current setup is a 686 with a smallish (I have small hands - ring size about a 4) rubber (Hogue?) grip with the finger grooves smoothed down. Up until this current situation, I haven't had any problems or concerns with this grip setup and it always felt comfortable to me. I've never heard of revolver shooting causing this kind of issue in the support hand, but again I'm new to all this. I don't know if I just need to do some hand strengthening or if my grip needs adjusting, etc. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Dean, While I'm sorry to hear about the loss of the ICORE matches, I must admit I'm delighted at the prospect of getting a second monthly IDPA match at one of my all-time favorite ranges. :) Many thanks to you and Beverly for all you do, and see you both soon!

    Congrats JZ! No procedurals for me either, and I tried to miss my no-shoot, but the nitwit didn't get down when I started firing... :roflol:

    Good to see y'all again! Oh, and if Steve thinks his video is slow, don't even think about looking at mine! :wacko:
