If I am going to play in ESP with other 1911's, I WANT my 1911.
Gotta love 1911's, if you have not modified it until it does not work that is.

I would give him a cover call on the target to the left. His feet are way out.

They should seriously look at allowing anything in CDP that makes power factor including 357 Sig, 9mm, 38 Super, etc.
Factory or handload major?

Nope. Switched all my guns to use a thin, plain front sight.
Thin black sights rock. Leaves more room in the bag for cigars too

You can make a permanent modification and remove the index finger lock/release from the serpa holster.
With a 230 gr.?

Honest Question, not meant to start a flame war or anything derogatory....
1) do you know anyone that has been banned from IDPA, by this I mean they are not allowed to re-up their membership and are banned from ever being a member of IDPA again ?
2) Is there a process in place to dispute this ?
please no flame wars, just answer honestly...
Wes,
1) Yes, some personally some by association.
2) No, no "process" at least not to my knowledge.

Gene,
I mostly shoot at Renton (NWPPA), but we have a number of clubs on the west side of the state.

Gene,
I am curious as to which club you shoot IDPA matches at?
I am in WA too.

In IDPA the power factor issue is handled at the chrono. I would suggest that you set the poppers as light as they will still stand up.

I am in Scott's camp on this one, all the way.

CoF 8. No threat target shall be located so that it can be hit by
shooting through another threat target.
Just sayin'

Dutch,
That is the key. If I ran into a stage in a match with that happening, I would request that they drop that stage from the match.

As a MD I would point to pg 18 F.
Generally if you have a laser device on you gun, it came with out that. I would put the original part back on and shoot the match.

Thanks for helping with the stats, Duane; one of the great unsung-hero jobs in competition shooting.
I told Duane that he was not near as good looking as some of the stats helpers that T.Ron has had in the past (Kristi). But T.Ron thought he looked very good considering the number of scorecards he had to enter.
Thanks Duane.

If the COF says "Popper must be engaged until down" end of story.
I don't necessarily agree. If the course designer put specifications into his design that are not in line with IDPA rules, I think that they are unenforceable.
If you were the SO...

Yes joking, with out reading the course discription it is apparently horizontal cover. It would have been nice if they had made it wider.
