I think if you win DC at 3 State level or above matches in 12 months (of the same year) you should get the bump.
It changes nothing, if a master shooter does not like the fact they lost to Sevigny at a match and got 1st master by creating DM does what ? He still gets DC and the other guy still gets 1st master.

New power factor load, 158g midatlantic bullet, fed primer and 2.7g of Clays = 109pf
Classifier times came down just a little.
-
Thanks for attending the match guys and hope you all had a good time, next match will be Apr 30th.

Sorry All,
It's true we will not be holding anymore USPSA matches at Caswell Ranch, as noted above Range 37 will be holding matches on the 3rd Saturday of the month and I'm sure will do a great job.
-
Me thinks you have been misinformed....
What do you think now

Sorry All.
There will be no USPSA match at Caswell Ranch tomorrow for safety reasons (ice on bays).
-
For poppers I'll use mission spec ammo (125pf)
-
Merlin Orr,
From what I understand and has been talked about for months is being able to run store purchased ammo and make power factor, most all factory .38spl does not make power in a 4" revolver (none +P).
My first post was to ask the question, why not be able to run .32H&R Mag or .327 J-frame size guns, both make above the 105PF and one load in .327 makes major.
-
I was thinking about setting a load up to 108pf out of the 4" and then run the 2.5" 66 or 686 should put me (legal) at about an 80pf and have some 125pf loads for poppers.

Should be posted on IDPA web site this week, I was informed this past weekend.
-
With the new power factor of 105 I think IDPA should give the thumbs up for use of the 32H&R Mag and .327, what is more IDPA than running a J-frame (with 6 shots).

now we have a special needs division

John,
I think part of the problem with the East Coast Championship was the location. Nothing against Caswell Ranch, but its sort of out in the middle of nowhere. I think if it was closer in, it would attract more interest for major matches. RDI and CLT airports are both several hours away, little for the family to do, etc. When choosing what majors to spend money on, these issue have to be considered.
I keep trying to get out there myself for a match, ICORE or USPSA, and the 3 1/2 hour drive always kills the idea when there are closer matches. Hopefully the 2011 schedule with ICORE on 5th Sats with no conflicts will help.
Mr JFlowers,
RDU Int is 50 minutes away as is Greensbor Int from Caswell Ranch, we are in the center of the State (E to W) 24 miles south of the VA line. Maybe Ant Hill could start an ICORE club or SWGC. I started ICORE at Caswell Ranch because I like to shoot revolver, I was one of the few that pushed for Retro/Classic to bring in shooters from IDPA-SSR a couple of years ago, when you have 6 or so shooters at a monthly match it's hard to stay with it, as a range owner, club pres it makes no sence to spend more money on targets than you take in.

Working with we industry on prizes, goal (if turn out is good) is to have a 1911 prize for top NV, MM, SS, EX and Master in both CDP and ESP.
The apps for the match will have a change, if you are a USPSA shooter and don't hold an IDPA Classification the classes will be Ma(GM-M),EX(=A),SS(=,MM(=C),NV(=D). If you have sent an app in it will be taken care of.
-
O.K. I'm going to hold this match, it will not be a sanctioned IDPA match because I want it to be a true 1911 Single Stack match.
It will be run just like an IDPA match with regard to stages, scores, mag cap etc, sign up will be CDP or ESP with a change, CDP as we all know is 165pf so I will permit the use of 10mm and 40S&W in CDP but you will need to make major (165pf), I will chrono. ESP is as per IDPA 125pf min.
Match will be the Caswell Ranch 1911 Single Stack Championship.
Match apps will be on the web site tonight.
Regards,
Dean

Ruger good for competition
-
Put an extended f/pin in it, should be good to go at 5lbs or less
-
You need to put a shout out to Brewski (left hand revolver shooter) on this forum, try a Ruger GP-100.
-
Revopop,
You can't go wrong with the GP-100, I just got a 3" for IDPA (hell ICORE and USPSA also) two hours of work on it today and it's ready to go, need a front night sight though.
-
JANIJOO,
Measure the sights on your gun, if it shoots were you want it to,order sights the same height.
Is your gun a .45acp, 9mm, .40 ? this can change things a little, at 10 yards aim at the minus zero mark in the circle of an IDPA target, if you can hit the mark or very close to it with a mag full you should be good to go.
-
were did the muzzle go at :11
-
Brewski,
John made Master, no more sand. Your GP is done.
-
3.98, 40pts production with Glock 26.
-
Will be a good match this Saturday, some stages a revolver shooter can do well on if they are on, classifier stage is CM 09-12, one 32 round stage, one 18rd the rest are 20 something rounds.
