  1. Marcy and Sheldon asked me to post the following.

Shooters need to make every effort to register Thursday April 19th at the Best of the West shooting range. http://texasshootingrange.com/

Registration will be open from 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm Thursday April 19th.

We have 432 shooters registered!!! We need 99% of you to register Thursday evening.

We will only be able to register so many shooters (not many) Friday morning before the Shooters meeting (which last year was around 7:00 am).

If you absolutely can not register Thursday, registration will open Friday morning at 6:00 am.

We will not run late. We will shoot on time. There are a ton of shooters, and for everyone's enjoyment, we have to run on schedule.

It is the shooter's responsibility to register and be at your stage when it is your squad's turn to shoot.

Thanks everyone, this is going to be a great match.

Please clarify this for me: do all shooters need to ''register' on Thursday? I thought my registration form and $275 got me registered. Do I need to be at the range Thursday? I wasn't planning on going to the range Thursday because I'm already 'registered'?

    Thanks

Everyone needs to check in at the range Thursday.

Registered may have been a poor choice of words. If you submitted your $$$, that registered your spot in the match. Everyone needs to "Check in/Register On Site" Thursday.

Not trying to be a PITA, but for those of us with jobs that won't allow us to be there by 6? What's the solution?

  2. The main scabbard is huge, I also put both my rifle and shotgun in it without a problem. I put my M2 in the "Shotgun Scabbard" for some protection between it and my rifle. The Shotgun Scabbard was intended for a 18" barreled shotgun so it does not fit a 22-24" gun quite as well, but covers most of it to protect it from metal on metal rubbing when I have them both in the main scabbard. The best thing about having them both right behind your back is the back isn't weighted to the one side like it would be if you have it attached to the side of the bag.

I used the Gunslinger II, but am upgrading to the Phantom. If you are buying a bag, I'd look at the Phantom.

Why are you upgrading to the Phantom? What does it have that the GSII doesnt?

  3. OK guys, after trying another case which will remain unnamed and being VERY let down I finally bought the Brownells case. Since there is next to no good pictures of this case I figured I'd put some up... however bad they may be :P

In the pics is an 18" AR and 21" M2 w/+6 Nordic extension to give you an idea of size. Last few pics are of padding and zippers/stitching.

Where'd you get that PMag mag holder thinger?

    Thanks!
