  1. Wow! Lots of shooters in Ohio. I am from Middelfield and have been shooting at the Crooked Creek Pistol league in Hartsgrove. I ventured up to Gem City a couple of weeks ago. I am sure I will see some of you guys around.

Hey ItZallGood. I am currently living in Cincinnati, but I grew up in Claridon. Welcome.

  2. A good stiff belt. Most competitors like the inner/outer belt type like this one.

5.2.3 Unless otherwise specified in the written stage briefing, the belt carrying

the holster and all allied equipment must be worn at waist level.

The belt or the inner belt or both must be either securely fixed at the

waist, or secured with a minimum of three belt loops.

  3. Went down to watch the RO's shoot and video the stages. Looks pretty straight forward. No memory stages or "gotcha's", except stage 7. That one looks a little more challenging than the others. Popper activators on either end of the wall that activate swingers on the opposite end. And the poppers are neither right nor left hand friendly. Looks like fun. Gonna be a hot one, hydrate or die! Oh, and I didn't win a gun. Got a tshirt. Matt had the guns on display, look very sharp.

Stage 7 is definitely the toughest. At least I didn't fall in the pit! :roflol:

Yea, 7 sucked. We started on 8 and ended on 7, not good.

  4. I checked, but couldn't find info on when we're supposed to check in at the range??? (I'm shooting Sat, if it matters). R,

IIRC, the matchbook says 8:30 shooters meeting in the picnic area.

It does, but I'm asking about checking in to get our score sheet labels, match booklet, etc....can't find any mention of that. R,

    G-ManBart,

Staff is suppose to report at 7:30 a.m., so any time after that should be good.

  5. CZinSC, where are you staying at in Montgomery?

ETA: Congrats Eku you pushed this year's thread past last year's thread in regards to the number of pages.

Staying with a buddy of mine from college, he's not a shooter. Just crashing at his house for the weekend. He lives in a neighborhood right around the corner from the Jewish Hospital on Galbraith/Kenwood

    CZ here ya go.

    Andy,

The match book looks great! Nice job.

I especially like the part about no "recreational" drugs...I assure you, any drugs I take will be of the working type, not the lazier, recreational variety!

And surprisingly, the Hooter's girls all seem to think they can make more $$ and be harassed less if they work at Hooter's instead of coming to the match. Still working on the Vice angle!

Jake is concerning me a little. You already told him about the vice 'girls' and he's still hoping they're there?! :surprise:

hey 5 oclock shadow, adams apple, twig and berries, whatever, as long as "she" can carry my shooting bag and piggy back me up that hill I don't care

Can they bring their own rickshaw?

If they think I will fit in one and it will help. But loosing control of it and having my fat ass out of control in a bamboo cart of death running over other shooters doesn't sound fun

Come on Jake, live on the edge... :roflol:

Hey talk to the MD, he gave me the stuff to put in the match book. :roflol::roflol:

  9. Alright the errors that have been pointed out (shooting schedule and pasting targets) have been corrected.

I wasn't nit-picking. This will be my first Level 2 match and I didn't know. It was a valid thought in my mind to have dedicated pasters/reset personnel so there could be no inpropriety in the scoring in a higher level match. Naivety is all.

I am sorry for the mis-understanding.

PKT1106 no problems here, I just felt like shouting. I appreciate you pointing it out. I will be working Stage 5 on Saturday and Sunday, say hi when your squad comes by.:cheers::cheers:

  10. anybody know of a hotel with rooms still fairly close? I would like to come up sat.
