  1. Hey guys

I have a glock 34 with a wolf aftermarket barrel. I have tried several reloads and cant get any of them to eject.

    1. 124gr lead , titegroup w/ 3.8---4.0 grs , Oal 1.10

    2. same w231 w/ 4.6---4.8 grs , Oal 1.25

I see no signs of pressure and the recoil is very light. Should i keep increasing the charge until i get ejection? Or

switch to maybe another power like unique

Sorry, I always forget something the gun runs great with factory ammo also with miwall reloads. In fact that barrel is

very accurate even as a single shot. I will try to chrono these loads. When reloads are shot the slide comes back

    about half way ?

    More input please

  3. Hey guys. This site has helped improve my shooting alot. My thumbs are along the slide and i now index the trigger and the groups have gotten smaller. My next problem is

my groups are in the 8 ring in the 8 oclock position. They knock down steel fine but not

so good for score on paper. Do you have some advice

    Scott

Ok , i let my wife shoot the glock and it shot great. I am going to take a hard look at my technique and slow things down. You guys have given me some tools to work with , also

    i'll start a shooting log

  4. It's probably your sights. Had the same problem with my G22 when I first got it. It's not a flinch, 'cause you wouldn't be grouping them well. If you have a nice tight group and they're just low left then file the front sight a smidge to get the group up and slide the rear sight a smidge to the right.

ETA: You could also be pulling/steering the gun with your grip.

nah...it's a common problem with shooters new to the Glock. It has a lot to do with the multiple stages of the Glock trigger (it gets harder to pull, in a consistent manner). And, too much grip with the strong hand. You can still shoot pretty good groups.

Easy test. If you think it is the sights, shoot some groups with the off-hand...you'll likely notice the group move to the other side of the target.

  5. So, you are right handed and shooting low left ?

    Hey flex.

Yes , that right . Its a glock 34 others have shot it and found it to be a accurate and dead on pistol. I think that i could be jerking , tightening my grip or my

trigger finger not correct spot. Do any of these sound likely ?

  7. Hey Mike . Do  you know if Jon is still suppling the dvds for the match? Having a hard time reaching him.

      Thxs Scottz

As of this afternoon, April 27, the match is full.  We are holding a number of slots for sponsors that may or may not be filled.  Therefore, we are creating a waiting list for those slots that are not used by sponsors.  If your application is in the mail or in process, your confirmation letter will indicate whether you are in the match or on the waiting list.

If you have not yet submitted your application, but you still want to shoot the match, it is important to get your application in as soon as possible so that you are high on the waiting list.

Also, due to scheduled vacation, jprm3g@aol.com will not be responding for about two weeks commencing Monday, May 2.  We will catch up on e-mail upon our return around the 14th.

I like that sa trigger pull also hate that da to. Like the

grips but that triggers to wide and i have small hands

so i may put a smooth narrow trigger on it . I shoot a

M15 S&W 38spl alot and had a smooth trig put on and

    it made a big difference.

What brand of ammo did/do you use for your 17?

  9. pat

Yes, Thats what i am going to try. My S&W 41

doesn't care to much what i feed it but that 17

       fooled me.

Also. which of the above would be a better

        bullseye gun? Does anyone Know?

    thanks

  10. George

Hey, i'll try anything . I felt sense the 17 is a target

model i should at least use target ammo, but its not

cheap. So i'll give the white a try. My next stop was

the gunsmith , its like the dentist for me.

       Thanks

  11. My S&W won't eject . I have to tap on the ejection rod

to free the shells. The gun is well cleaned and oiled.

I am using long rifle std vel shells ,should i switch to

    target ammo?

I"ll will get those things done.

I was told years ago that the only stupid question

is the one you don't ask. So here goes. If i have the

gun modified will it keep me from shooting 3gun,IDPA

or action pistol  at a stock or beginner level ? Also do

i shoot myself now for selling my glock ?

    You guys are the best

     Thanks

  13. Kurtm

Hey, thanks . I'll tell you what i was thinking.

    1.  New plastic furniture in green or black from

K-var corp. This will add another 1 1/2 " to

the length of pull. The current stock is to

         short.

    2.  A scope mount that clamps on barrel made

by ultimak. Like a scout mount forward of

        the receiver.

    3.  Some sort of red dot scope

    I hope this all works

Please feel free to add or subtract any of the above

as i  have not bought this stuff Yet.

Love that m1a , but that ammo price ( for the good stuff)

is to high and the AK really likes that Wolf .223 ammo.

I live in Ca and most of the matches we will attend are at club level. If your in SoCal look us up.

      Thanks

  14. I have not seen many post for the Ak style rifles to used

in any type of competition. I know that there are much

better choices but i am limited to this an my m1a which is

heavier and cost more to shoot. Is this rifle practical for

3gun shoots and if so what is the best way to set it up?

I live in ca. and i can't move ever.

    Thanks

Thank you all for your info. Next month will be the

start of my first match . And i am looking forward to

using the browning for it. I will keep the gun stock

with the exception of some minor de-burring of the

    slide release.

                          Thanks   Scott
